Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsNot a complaint but a remark: the occasional burning of waste is very taxing on the people with a sensitive respiratory system.
A little piece of heaven in a tranquil and beautiful location. Nice, good size accommodation, truly in the middle of nature and away from it all. Mature and affluent clientele served by very friendly staff and very good, generously proportioned food. Fast dongle based internet.

CanadaAbsolutely stunning location! Perfect spot for a quiet, relaxing getaway. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. The food is excellent. No air conditioning but the fans made the room comfortable and we just had cold showers to cool down if needed. The activities such as the village tour and kava ceremony give the opportunity to experience Fijian culture. Highly recommend!

AustraliaMy recent stay at Navutu Stars in Fiji was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the surroundings made this trip truly unforgettable. We opted for the garden bungalow, and it exceeded our expectations. Tucked away in lush greenery, it offered a perfect blend of privacy and stunning views. The little private beach, just steps away from our bungalow, provided a tranquil escape that made every moment feel like a piece of paradise. The staff at Navutu Stars are the real gems of this resort. Their attentiveness and friendliness were beyond compare. From the moment we checked in to the day we left, Solo, Waiti, Dan, Pene, and, of course, Dolly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their genuine smiles and eagerness to assist created an atmosphere that felt like a home away from home. The local food at Navutu Stars is a culinary journey in itself. Every meal was a delightful exploration of Fijian flavors, and the chefs showcased their expertise in crafting dishes that were not only delicious but also a true reflection of the local culture. What sets Navutu Stars apart is their flexibility in organizing daily trips. Whether it was exploring the nearby islands, snorkeling in crystal-clear waters, or enjoying a sunset cruise, the resort made it easy for us to customize our daily adventures. This flexibility added an extra layer of excitement to our stay. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Solo, Waiti, Dan, Pene, and Dolly. Your dedication and hospitality made our vacation truly special. It's the people that make a place memorable, and the team at Navutu Stars certainly made our stay extraordinary. In conclusion, Navutu Stars is a haven for those seeking a perfect blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and a touch of local culture. I can't recommend this resort enough and can't wait for the opportunity to return.

The staff here felt like a group of friends. Getting to know them and speaking to them was the best part of our trip. They all helped me do a proposal that me and my fiance will cherish for the rest of our lives and went out of their way to tailor our experience of these islands to something really beautiful. They looked after us and made sure we were always comfortable and happy, which must be a lot of effort. We'd love to go back, and we can't say thank you enough to each one of them for how friendly and caring they were towards us. Even the wild dogs felt like friends, one of the most beautiful and enjoyable experiences of our whole life. Too many names to say individually, from the office to the massage therapist, activities, waiters, and office, everyone contributed to our unforgettable experience. Thank you for everything! CanadaThis was an exceptional stay. The stuff was like a soul family. If you want to experience traditional Fijian hospitality then this is the place. Professionals always steps ahead. Very wise and happy people. They remember your name after first introduction, small things like closing your Buré blinds and lighting mosquito coils while you are away dinning, always changing foot-soak water tub, every day complimentary Fiji water. You feel like a king and a queen in a castle Buré- we stayed in a garden view which was on a small hill with some ocean view and private beach. There is lots of small beaches around, no people only crystal clear water as in Fiji Postcards. Huge rooms with lots of windows and huge double bathroom, no A/C but its built the traditional style and never felt hot. This is great for adults only or with older teenage kids. So no young kids running around. Sometimes even you feel you are the only guest. Snorkelling can be arranged any time. Free Kayaks offer you unlimited exploring opportunities around the area. Food - it is a boutique resort so choices are very selective and good for every taste. Breakfast Muffins where the best ever tasted - locally baked. Traditional Fijian Lovo evening was like a big family gathering all sitting in a long table - lots of singing, dancing and lovely food- so far the best Lovo from all the places we stayed - fish , chicken and pork cooked to perfection. The bar has some fancy cocktails to offer as well. Kava ceremony was one of a kind - felt like I am sitting with the chief. Village and local school visit is a must do - as all the employees live there and their kids visit the schools. If you go - make sure you have some gifts or candy for them - you cant buy the emotions with any money. And of course the 3 local street dogs who jump on your kayak or go for a hike with you. Avoid the crowds and treat your self with relaxing days. Stay at least 3 nights or more.

AustraliaWe had no problems with any aspect of our stay. You have to pay extra for things like snorkelling trips (the non-motorised canoes etc can be taken out any time) but it does seem reasonable to be paying for wages of local people who are looking after you. We were looking forward to having a lobster one evening while we were there, but I guess we came at the wrong time and they weren't on the menu.
Our stay at Navutu was really wonderful. The best aspect of the resort is the wonderful staff, always friendly and super helpful, who look after you in every way possible. It was really more like staying with friends than the usual hotel/resort experience. The location of the resort was also wonderful. Great swimming and even some snorkelling just off the resort. A lovely setting with beach, coconut palms and fantastic views. We would highly recommend Navutu as a holiday destination.

The staff!!! They were absolutely incredible and make Navutu Stars feel like you’re at home and are apart of a family. Their kindness, attentiveness, sense of humour and love for their home Fiji and culture shines throughout that property which you can’t say for a lot of other resorts in Fiji. The location is incredible and feels like you’re in a movie! the fact that yanqueta island has a community living on the island makes it so special. Having access to the canoe’s snorkels and stand up paddle boards was such a nice bonus as well. If you visit Navutu Stars make sure to take part in the village trip and watch the Sunday choir such a beautiful experience. I loved the singing and everyone is so musically talented I would’ve loved to hear more Fijian music throughout the day it’s beautiful ☺️ The activities the staff organised were always so enjoyable as well!

RomaniaThe location is great for quiet getaways, great food, nice variety of activities offered by the location (either free or charged). But the thing that made this place our favorite we've ever been to was the staff! The people are kind and friendly, and the longer you stay, the more attached you'll get to them (and they to you!). It's so nice to get up in the morning, go to the dining area, and a staff member call you by name, "Bula Daniel, what can I get for you? By the way you'll love the snorkeling place we're going today!" You really feel taken care of here.

AustraliaI LOVED staying here! I went alone (and was worried it would be all honeymoon couples it wasn't like that at all). Its such a small resort, I ended up chatting with quite a few people. The perfect place to have good alone time (don't expect the internet to work), the team are absolutely wonderful - I wish they had name tags as I was embarrassed that they all knew my name & I could't remember theirs! Would 100% go back- beautiful room, friendly staff, dogs, snorkelling and napping. Thank you for making my trip so wonderful.

AustraliaWhat an amazing place, couldn’t fault a thing. The staff are wonderful, so welcoming and attentive and made you feel at home on their beautiful island. The food was lovely and the Lovo dinner was such an incredible experience. The location is superb with it aquamarine waters and snorkeling right in front. The activities organised by the staff are well worth it and you get to experience some of the best places around the Yasawas. We will definitely return.

It was a joy to stay here, with exceptional people who ensure visitors have a fantastic time; arranging snorkelling trips, visits to caves, kava ceremonies and private picnics on an idyllic beach. The bures are spacious, clean and overlook the amazing turquoise water and neighbouring islands. When you're told 'welcome home' to guests on arrival, it's true.
