Nice city to visit for a few days. I am actually impressed with the city and would like to come back again to explore more. The attractions it has do attract many tourists coming to visit this city. I strongly recommend this city to visit.LeongSingapore - 8.0Scored 8.0
It is a relaxed city.
It is a relaxed city. We loved Senshu koen with it's gardens, ponds and shrines. There is great shopping and cafes around the station area and a cheap tourist loop bus covers most of the city starting from in front of the station. Tourist information at the station was extremely helpful. We took a trip to Sentai Hoshika just outside of the city. It was a little tricky to get to by bus but worth the visit for serenity and beauty. We met some very pleasant people and had some wonderful meals at Osteria restaurant at the Richmond Hotel and Icinotori BatatenCliodhnaIreland - 8.0Scored 8.0

We enjoyed what we saw, the weather was perfect and Senshu Park was beautiful and about 5 minutes walk. We would have liked to go to Aoyagi Samurai house but for the time we had available it was a bridge to far.RoslynAustralia

Dormy Inn Akita was a comfortable walk from Akita Station with JR and Shinkansen service. It was convenient for train transportation to Oga, Akita Port, Omagari, Kakunodate and other Akita destinations. The Akita Bus Station in front of the train station has direct airport buses and buses to other destinations on regular schedules. The location was also easily walkable to all choices of delicious food and directly across the street from Senshu Park.LeslieUnited States of America

Location is 1 stop away from Akita station, and you can definitely feel the host's hospitality in everything they do (offering lifts, offering snacks and so on). The host also puts in a lot of effort in providing recommendations and suggestions. I would definitely stay here again if given the chance.

I really enjoyed my time there but there isn't much else to do around the hotel. You're pretty much coming here for the facilities unless you have a car to drive around. It's in a quite neighbourhood though so you'll get a decent nights sleep.
