Absolutely everything was perfect. The loveliest hosts, Rika and Gareth, who were supportive, personable and friendly throughout. The food was absolutely delicious! We even shared an amazing Christmas dinner together with the hosts and other guests. The location and facilities were perfect. The hosts are by far the warmest, most supportive and caring hosts we have ever experienced and they will do absolutely everything to ensure that their guests are comfortable, happy and instantly feel at home. Well located in the center of Kyoto, Hotel Muso provides 3-star accommodations close to Gion Shijo Station and Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall.
Big hotel room with very comfortable beds. We love the automatic Japanese toilet that opens when you enter the bathroom and the classical music. There is also a big bath tub ideal to for a hot bath after a long day of walking. The water pressure is good in the shower. There is also a kitchen counter, microwave oven, coffee pod machine ,mini ref. Bathroom amenities are very good . The hotel manager and staff speak very good English and are very attentive to our needs. They constantly communicate with us thru wats app. The hotel is about 10 minute walk to Kyoto - Kawaramachi train station, and is about 15-20 minutes to the Gion district.
