Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe resort facilities are good for a family with kids, the view and the gardens were beautiful, rooms were very dusty and in need of a renovation. Staff were hit and miss, some were very lovely and others very rude and ignorant.

AustraliaRooms certainly are in need of refurbishments, furnishings are outdated and not up to standard for a 4 star facility. TV signal in room was poor and had heavy static which at times made watching any shows unbearable.
Good location, restaurant had decent food, staff was courteous. Facilities (ex. Room) seemed well maintained.

AustraliaThe price of drinks and food were ridiculous! We spent well over our budget as we did not expect anything to be priced like they were. The wifi prices is outrageous! For the amount we paid for our stay it should have been included. $30AUD for 24 hours... Some of the staff did not want to have a bar of communication which is a let down as happy staff tops off your holiday- it doesn’t hurt to wear a smile! But In saying that, majority of them were so lovely! Trying to book for a massage was a pain so I gave up. Adding service payments on top of cost of everything was an absolute joke. If you have a credit- USE IT, don’t use cash and try to store the credit for later, as they were pocketing the cash and still adding it to our friends rooms
The resort: - The room we had was amazing, it was old but gave the tropical feeling, right on the water. We met a lot of lovely locals who taught us so much about the islands & the security guards became our friends forever! - the resort was very well set out and an amazing vibe! House keeping- We got fresh towels daily, and our room was cleaned every morning before our bubs went down for a lunch time nap. We only waited for fresh pool towels once out of our whole 2 week stay which wasn’t a problem because we were on holidays. Location- was good as we could catch buses for 150VT per person and our daughter was free, the bus ride was about 5-10 mins. This was family friendly, many kids for our daughter to play with and also a lot of activities to do. There were also many activities for adults to do like snorkelling, kayaking and much more! (You can’t hear any kids playing if you wanted a relaxing romantic holiday with your partner) Buffet breakfast- was so good, there was everything you could possibly think of and change it up each day.

AustraliaThe internet…paid for 8 days and probably got 8 minutes. Only worked in the lobby but I was under the elusion it worked in our room. No gift shop.
It is a great resort, and looks fantastic at night with all the garden lighting. Buffet breakfast was everything you need including the chef on call to cook your eggs / omelettes the way you like it. Dinner Buffet was good with different cuisine themes each night. Ie Asian, Mediterranean, seafood, Indian. And desserts were good. You pay for the view, the meal and drinks while live entertainment music is played in the background. Some of the solo singers at night are really talented. Special mention to the staff who were very friendly and made our stay very memorable. The reputable tours are worth getting out to visit more of the island and the local communities. Overall it’s a holiday that you make it and we met some friendly quests in a perfect location on Erakor lagoon. Make sure you visit the Turtle Sanctuary to keep this going.

AustraliaNot being able to get food (lunch) at the pool in a timely manner. Especially co-ordinating of orders so that room groups received orders together.
Breakfast was excellent - especially 'made while you wait' eggs of any type. Dinner buffets were also excellent - good choices, well presented and very tasty. Pool area was always busy ... kitchen (or the system of booking and delivering food) was slow at times.

AustraliaFood and drink was very expensive. Breakfast was average (apart from the omelettes) although staff couldn’t be faulted. With normally none or minimal fresh fruit. We waited almost 3 hours in reception for our room to be ready (past check in time). Our room was not ready until 5pm. No compensation- ie a drink etc.
The overwater villa was fabulous. Turn down service lovely. Pools were great and staff very friendly. Fresh omelettes were great.

AustraliaYou have to pay a lot for wifi and the connection can be awful, depends on the time of day and what device you're using. (10,000 Vatu for 7 days). However I found this option was less painful than trying to use roaming with my Australian provider. We asked for a hammock to be moved to one of the empty hammock spots near us but in 10 days that never eventuated. There was no information book or maps or do not disturb sign in our room. There is a safe in the room but it is not secured to its location. The tour brochures at the lobby are a pretty skimpy offering. You'd be better off visiting the Vanuatu tourism information office in town, just off the main drag, which is staffed by the lovely Angelina who has all the info and can book whatever you need. This resort seemed a little old and tired when we were there in September but you have to remember that Vanuatu has had 2 cyclones batter the islands this year (and when we were there we had a lot of rain). The grounds staff seemed to be starting a maintenance blitz as we left. It's better to come armed with cash or debit card because any credit card use anywhere incurs fairly hefty fees (between 3 and 6.5%).
Location is fantastic as the Erakor lagoon is lovely, easy to swim, snorkel and paddle. No actual beach or breaking waves. The staff is really friendly and always ready to serve. Good variety of accommodation choices. Our lagoon view bungalow was perfect, spacious and fairly private at the end of the row with only a few metres to the edge of the water. The breakfast spread is generous, great variety and very filling. We hadn't purchased the all inclusive package, and found that all other meals are expensive when purchased in the resturants. There are 5 different swimming pools: the top big pool, the next level down is shallower and good for kids. The third pool is the activities pool, shallow with volleyball net. Fourth pool is a small spa pool which seems to be a kid magnet (and therefore not particularly salubrious). Fifth pool is the actual baby pool, knee level water, perfect for littlies. Plenty of space to sit and lie around the pools, lots of umbrellas, and there is a pool bar with a dry side and a swim up side. Spa onsite offering massages and facials. Barista coffee in the lobby. Non-motorised watersports are free. The Activities guy was extremely laid back resulting in little to no information, no tide tables, and late opening of the activities shed and equipment. The grounds are large and there is a fair bit of green space between units. ATM on site.

New ZealandFood is too expensive! In New Zealand and Australia, we spent 50% less on food. We spent for dinners and drinks the same amount of money on the accommodation, even breakfast was included. Each dinner for 2 people is 7000-10000 VATU without drinks. Each cocktail is around 1500-1900VATU
Should have good internet for use included in the stay. I booked a villa before and for the same price, it had free Fiber.

AustraliaThe food was not very good and so overpriced. Around $60pp for the buffet dinner not including drinks and the food wasn’t very good. Drinks around the pool were very expensive around $25 for a cocktail or $12 for a (bad) wine. You had to pay for Wi-Fi which was $125 for a week which is ridiculous given what we paid for the room.
Breakfast was good but buffet dinner was terrible and really overpriced. Kids club was good with craft activities in the afternoon that my kids loved. Also got a babysitter who was lovely. Pools are lovely. Kids eat free which is great. Nice music and entertainment in the evenings. Free water sports are good. We kayaked over to the little island resort which is great. Food is much better over there so we would get the boat over for dinner in the evenings.

AustraliaI personally really needed WiFi, especially around the pool area but I got nothing. Even though I paid the WiFi fee I kept being bumped off with only a few seconds of connection. Frustrating! That really needs to be sorted, it's kind of a game-changer for me. Just make it free and build it into the cost of the stay.
We met some wonderful people and thoroughly enjoyed Port Vila overall! The Warwick had a lovely feel with a spectacular view over to Erakor Island!

New ZealandWe stayed in shefa pool villa, it definitely doesn't look like what it does In pictures, the gate was broken for privacy, the pool pump was broken so just kept draining away and the bath was broken I got in it and thought the whole whole bath was going to fall through the frame and when looked closely the whole bath was cracked... So that was disappointing for the amount of money we paid. It Definitely needs attention. Would of been nice for a discount or maybe move our rooms but they weren't easy to deal with at the reception. And they kept saying it will all be fixed but obviously wasn't.
The large pool was amazing and the staff in the bar area were lovely, the breakfast was great and wild ginger food was beautiful
