“A basic hostel in a great location walking distance from Semuc Champey. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the food served was very simple and tasty. It is a good place to stay for a couple of nights while visiting Semuc Champey but don't expect any thrills here. It is a good stay for the price. The wifi is good in the main area but doesn't work in the rooms and dorms.”
“Located directly on the river, with the sounds of the jungle and cute dogs walking around.
10 min walking distance from the Semuc Champey reserves
Wonderful staff and affordable food available directly at the hostel bar & kitchen”
“Amazing location! Very close to pools and tubing - recommend for this alone. The pool area was also relaxing. Cold water in shower, but was welcome as hot weather.
Our room was small but nice. Would recommend if staying in Semuc for a short time, and not bothered about social atmosphere.”
“Bryan at the bar and Nestor at reception were very pleasant during the stay. The rooms (not all) are in relatively good condition even if the lack of insulation allows certain creatures (spiders, wasps, etc.) to enter.”
“Reception was friendly when we arrived which was nice for Guatemala. The dining area by the river is cool with table tennis and a rope swing for the river.”
“The hostel is located in nature from where you can reach the Semuc Champey with an hour walk.
The kitchen and common area is really nice and chill. Just remember to take your grocery as last shops are in Lanquin
Martha cooks really nice dinners (60Q), lunch and breakfast also available.”
“The location is perfect. Nice for walks to the jungle and enjoy the natural world.
The mountain location provided a great respite from the heat of the lower elevations. It almost felt normal to us.
Who would've thought we would be having a fire, and whilst not entirely necessary, it was really comforting to enjoy the heat and ambience.
Room was quiet, clean and comfortable.
Restaurant serves great food throughout the day.”
