The airconditioning system in Room Nos 239 and 240 was very bad. The thermostats weren't working as they should. we had dampness in the rooms all throughout and our clothes were damp always. We complained to Receptionist on 17th July 2023 and Technician arrived. He checked and advsd us that the actuator isn't functioning as it should. Unfortunately on 18th July morning, due to strong wind the glass panel on the door frame of the balcony got cracked. Luckily the shards didn't fly around. Supervisor Raji arrived and helped us to change Room. This time we were put in Room No. 242, where the aircon thermostat was operating as it should. We enjoyed the sleep on 18th July night. Receptionist shudn't have allotted these these defective Rooms in first place. We are senior citizens and fear we shall contract flu and/or cold due to the dampness in room and on our clothes. The airconditioning system was very uncomfortable in Restaurant AL DANA, hence we couldn't eat within it. Flies are a problem when you sit on the balcony. (The hotel was about 80% empty).

The location on the beach was very good. The wood panelling and wooden furnitute within the Hotel was very good. Stained glass dome in main lobby was colourful and brilliant.This is a huge property whc must have been very good in its hey days. The hotel rooms were very spacious- we liked it a lot. The shuttle bus service was necessary as provided by Hotel. Wi Fi was operating very well. We enjoyed the serenity of the sea and the greenery / drizzle in and around Mirbat .Pleasant experience especially when we are coming from other middle east country where the temperatures are in mid 40"s C. Staff was seen cleaning the hotel and the vast outer properties deligently. It was value for money in this "offseason" .

1. Even though they advertise the location as Salalah, its located in Mirbat almost 90 kms away from city. 2. The place was full of houseflies who dwell on the food items for breakfast lunch and dinner which was disgusting 3. They mention there is an a'la Carte restaurant but when we went and sat inside they persuaded us so much to opt for buffet in their other restaurant and in the end told us to proceed to the buffet restaurant and order a'la carte from there. Literally asked us to leave that restaurant in order to sell their buffet. Very unprofessional. They should just close that restaurant off if they aren't interested in serving there. 4. The intercom did not work at all. Reported this multiple times and someone came and repaired it once but it failed again. For calling reception and room service, had to dial out from my mobile which was on roaming. 5. Half the time room service did not answer the call. 6. Toilet flush is ridiculous and doesn't work properly 7. Alcohol is very expensive outside happy hours 8. No valet parking service - or rather no one offered it to me, they just told me to park by myself. 9. Got no help to offload luggage from the car. There was a bellboy who was lazily watching while I offloaded luggage and in the end brought the trolley for the luggage with least interested body language. After a 14 hour long drive from Dubai, some help with the luggage would have felt nice. Overall, I don't find this hotel worthy for the money they charge.

Rooms were spacious, bed was comfortable, nice bar and bartender Mr. Arafat. Happy hours in their bar every day and good pricing at that time. Room service brought food in hot trolleys which was good. Ample parking space at the property.

1- Servicing food prices included a lot of taxes, making the final prices so costly. 2- It is preferable to minimize the tax and VAT. 3- Improve the beach facilities. 4- Improve the first aid facilities concerning the hotel is located in a remote area. 5- Establish a contingency plan.

The breakfast buffet was quite varied, tasty, and excellent. The hotel was cozy in general. All staff was friendly and helpful.

- The staff was terrific! So nice and welcoming! - We were during off season there and got a room upgrade for free. Fantastic! Thank you! - The Bed was the most comfortable bed on our journey - Price-performance ratio was more than great - Very clean - Huge pool - Had the breakfast in our room and it was good and plentiful

Breakfast was the same for all 4 days of stay. Can't say the breakfast was good, if you are hungry, you just got to eat it. Reminded of my grandma.. "this is what's there now eat it.." lol.. No one answers the phones - housekeeping or front reception; tried calling them so many times.. One of the rooms had a dampness issue, everything had moisture on it.. cloths..bed.. even the tv remote had droplets of water on it... they couldn't give another room or sort the issue out.. The hotel is one hour from the city and 30 mins away from the nearest attraction..

Well, just the bed I guess. room was very spacious. The staff was generally polite and helpful. I almost felt sorry for them, a few of them were really good, but struggling to keep up with the rush I guess.
