Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaRoom was quite expensive than what it should be particularly when there's no additional facility in the hotel ( like a swimming pool/spa). Staff a little inattentive. It was our anniversary and we were expecting a cake/flowers/decorations. None of it was provided
Great location - 5 mins walk from the harbour/bridge/lighthouse. Wonderful view from the room. The dining area was amazing. Food was decent too

United Arab EmiratesYou are based at the end of the town, so a long hike if you wanted to go into town. There is a petrol station and a restaurant outside the hotel that serves dinner, food was ok in there.. Food for breakfast in the hotel was very average for the cost.
We booked a suite so the room was large, 1 bedroom flat. Unfortunately unlike other suites there is no sofa-bed so you will still have to pay for extra beds. Sofas in the seating room are very long but very slim and uncomfortable so you will not be able to sleep on them. If you are family with 2 children getting 2 rooms will be cheaper and more comfortable.

Corner room with a nice view on the sea. Convenient location: walking distance to the Al-Ayjah Lighthouse, to the souq and to an excellent, local restaurant. Breakfast served on a wonderful terrace.

BelgiumIn need of a refurb. Dated, hard bed furniture worn, carpet curling, door lock (other than electronic door card) not working and door chain not usable (but perfectly safe) - main problem noise. Poor noise insulation with traffic going on til late and starting early.
Helpful staff, location OK outside of town, clean, Wi-Fi good and parking.

GermanyBreakfast was underwhelming and of questionable quality / freshness (plenty of flies in the glass cabinet for bread and croissants...). Bed was large but the mattress very thin and thus only ok for one night.
The room was spacious, very bright, and had a nice view. The location of the hotel was perfect for my sightseeing plans.

OmanI have nothing bad to say about the hotel, nice rooms, personal friendly and helpful. But what i found apalling and very saddening is, that opposite it near the trash bins were cats meowing from hunger at night. A hotel where guests are splashing on luxury, poor animals are starving. And nobody cares!! When I pointed it out to one employee, he said that the cats were not theirs. But do they have to be theirs for god sake to even give them food and water? That could easily be done, by putting the kitchen food rests every day on a piece of plastic (weighed by stones), and a bowl of water. When the employees throw out the food in tightly sealed plastic bags, the food gets wasted while it could have saved the poor cat lives. Although scraps from human food are often harmful or toxic to cats, like spicy and salted food, it´s better than nothing. But especially sharp fish bones should be put out of reach of the cats as it could harm them. My overall impression of Oman is, that it is beautiful and materially rich, but at the same time very poor spiritually. Most people seem to only care about themselves, their enjoyment and material richness, but totally neglect everything that is outside their front door. I have witnessed stores and businesses, with well fed owners and big cars in front of them, yet cats and kittens literally starving to death among the rubbish outside. Can´t you at least leave a damn bowl of water outside, if you´re too stingy about food? Probably too much to ask. There is no bowl of water even in front of mosques. Where everyone goes to pray, but what good is a religion if it doesn´t teach you compassion. I wanted to say more about this subject, but there is a limited space. 2 biggest problems that overshadow any Oman´s beauty are widespread neglect/abuse of animals, tons of trash everywhere and nonexistent recycling. Lack of concern for the environment, enjoy now pay later lifestyle. Just take and destroy, and never give anything back.
In this regard everything OK. Beautiful hotel and locality, personal friendly to guests but neglecting animals outside.

Czech RepublicSituated on the main road, so that a bit noisy.
Good hotel for one night, good position, closed to the nice bridge and beach. We overnighted there on the way from the "turtles" to Muscat. Nice and friendly staff. Simple dinner and breakfest buffet, but enough for us. You can walk to the Watch tower with nice view over the city and bay/s.
