Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ChinaThe air conditioning system is a little bit old and has some noise and smell.
Great location near Taipa Grande Natural Park and Ecological pond of Wetland. We even walk to the airport. It's very easy to find food near by, great Portuguese and Canton restaurants. Value for money.

ChinaFirstly, it was my first time to use service from Booking.com. But there was no warning showed from the Booking.com that I was required to book the hotel with the real full name on my ID card. So I booked the hotel without real full name on my ID card and got some trouble when I checked in. Secondly, when I got trouble in check-in, I found it hard to get access to customer service from Booking.com. I was trying to contact customer service from Booking.com for so many times while it turned out that I was contacting the hotel rather than customer service from Booking.com. It took me as well as the hotel's front desk staffs a long time to figure out how to get access to customer service from Booking.com. The customer service showed on Booking app was very confusing. Lastly, somehow it was not quiet at night. I could hear some noise the whole night.It sounded like some kind of sound produced by an electrical appliance when it was running or sound from machinery at a construction site.But I‘m not sure what exactly the noise was or where it was from.It was not very loud, but it was still a problem when it was sleeping time at night.
The location of the hotel is awesome. The front desk staffs of the hotel helped me professionally and served me well when I got some problem on check-in .They were patient to help me solve the problem, thank them very much. And the customer service from Booking.com also helped me a lot and efficiently with changing guest name.Thank you.
