Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LithuaniaFor some reason mini-sofa was unfolded and fully sheated, even though we booked the room for 2 people only. When we folded it to save space - floor underneath was quite dirty. Also we got 2 single beds instead of a double bed.
Great location, beds were super comfortable, shower was exceptionally nice as well. Overall room design was very cozy. Lounge bar offers amazing cocktails.

ColombiaThe room cleaning service is every 2 days. The staff at the reception was not very kind nor helpful. They requested to pay the breakfast the last day of my stay just because they only serve after 8 am. (I needed to take the breakfast a bit early and they were not kind enough to help me on this request)
The location is good but not optimal

EstoniaBreakfast was good. Room is modest, but clean and relatively new. Parking was pretty good (underground parking with dedicated places for motorcycles). Location is convenient for exploring the city- all major sightseeings within 10-20 minutes of walk.

SpainBreakfast way too expensive. I travel around Europe and for 18 eur I can eat or dine easily. And get good breakfast for less than 10 eur in local café.
Loved the room, showers and bed. Location is fantastic as well.

LatviaThe parking situation was very annoying. I had to park my car and I had to wait a long time...then when it was time to leave, I had to wait a very long time to get out. I had to wait , nobody came, go back upstairs to the front desk and ask and then back to my car and wait and then back up to the desk a few times. It took a really long time to finally get help to use the lift for the car to get out. The 2 women at the front desk helping me were very very unhelpful and acted like they just didnt know anything. they were polite but honestly stupid. One girl couldnt answer any questions. Maybe they were new, but 2 new girls should not be at the front. They were practically worthless.
The staff at the bar was excellent. They were great with my 10 yr old child and just genuinely helpful, polite, nice, and funny.

The hotel is not a luxury hotel, and was not expected to be. Everything was comfortable and clean. it was nice to have the morning coffee in the room. Staff was very friendly. The location is close to the old city and other sites. It is a good place to stay.

Sweden1. Little expensive. Especially breakfast. 2. Very annoying how fast they take away your plate at breakfast. It would be much better for the environment if people could more easily reuse their plates. It was impossible to hold on to it once they saw yours was empty. Please change that.

NorwayThin walls, small uncomfortable pillows.
The cosy singlebed room was nicely decorated in a modern classic style. The location is great, walking distance to the old town, to the fantastic old market hall by the bus/train station with all the fresh produce, as well as to Riga Ghetto museum or Art Neaveau house and quartier. The airport bus stops under 10 mins walking from the hotel. The hotel reception is opened 24hrs and the breakfast buffet is gigantic although for 18 € it is a question if one really needs to eat there, there is a grocery store in nearby shopping mall just across the street.
