Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWe booked a lagoon room and we’re unaware you can not swim in the lagoon (this should be written somewhere when booking) There are no TVs or wifi in rooms. The poolside bar was never open. Resort is dated and could use some refurbishment. However it was comfortable and relaxed. Dicks place was great for food and drinks. Loved the Island bar also
The buffet breakfast at Dicks was good. Trader cafe was hit and miss a bit. Pizzas were good. The location was beautiful. Beach is amazing. Staff at the equipment rental were lovely, made my partner a complimentary hat from leaves. Authentic stay.

United KingdomWe had an all inclusive food package and the food quality was imo really sub standard for the quality of the venue. At breakfast it seemed as though they had cooked enough for all the guests and then left it on the Bain Marie’s to stew. Soggy, wet cabbage of some sort, next to congealed omelette and poor quality sausages was off putting. There was however an egg station where you could order fresh eggs of your choice. There were two choices of where to eat on the inclusive package - one restaurant and a cafe, both with plastic chairs and tables and it felt cheap, rather than luxurious. The cafe was very disorganised and messy. We had a la carte menu one evening and the food was mediocre. The free snorkelling trips were mostly fully booked due to their not being sufficient snorkels. They were most keen for us to book on the paid trip which seemed to have snorkels available (‘?!). Fortunately, having been previously advised, we had taken our own snorkels and masks and they lent us flippers and added us to the boat. It seemed there were only 15 people in total on each trip.
Our room was superb (beach front burr). Really spacious, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and with all the facilities we needed. Fresh ground coffee with the tea making tray and homemade biscuits every day was a highlight! The air con was efficient and the simple design of the rooms was delightful. The room attendant was charming and obviously good at her job. We had a private veranda with armchairs, sun loungers and a hammock all right outside and overlooking the cove. The staff in the main restaurant were super: both friendly and helpful. We had drinks at the island bar which was nice and we particularly rated the young woman that was running the bar on both occasions we visited. She was a good hostess and offered information about the resort etc as well as making good cocktails! The sand bar where the resort take you for the free snorkelling was fabulous - a huge variety of fish to see in the shallows.

New ZealandThe facilities might have been a bit old, the air conditioner remote would not work and we lived in an icy room for the last two days of our stay while it was pouring outside. The bathroom door was broken and two out of three lights in the bathroom did not turn on. The staff tried to assist us as much as they could and we are very grateful. A small bit of advice is to run some indoor activities for the rainy season for guests as almost all the activities were cancelled during our stay due to rain and we ran out of things to do so it was quite boring :(
Quiet paradise, staff were all helpful and very nice! Food at the restaurants were also delicious and it’s obvious a lot of work and thought goes into it to keep guests excited for meal times.

New ZealandThe wifi is only available in the public areas and even then it is variable (drops off all the time). We had a pair of slides and some sunglasses go missing which was disappointing. Would have been nice if complimentary tea / coffee / juice was available during lunch and dinner and not just breakfast given the price you pay for the all-included meals.
The pre-paid meals were awesome - our adult children loved the buffet! The pool and the beach were great. Lots of activities available. Snorkelling, sailing, SUP, Kayak, fishing were all great. Staff were friendly.

New ZealandWe just thought the pool was looking a bit shabby, but I guess since Covid they haven't done any maintenance on it. Although the pool wasn't over-crowded, I think it would be better if the kids pool was where the adults one is (would probably need another smaller one though as well) and the main pool for adults only as that has all the cabanas and the bar area etc as I feel that this resort isn't over-indulged with kids like plantation is so this would make sense. It was a bit disappointing that the pool bar wasn't open this time :( The wee supermarket is very handy but often ran out of stock!
As always Musket Cove was an amazing escape with lovely friendly & helpful staff! Not much has changed since Covid hit! Loved our beach front bure and the rest of the family stayed in the garden bures which they were happy with. Love the beach and the crisp clean water and the snorkeling was great, especially the deep-water snorkeling! Also, the boutique here is awesome! And we just love going to the Island Bar - such a cool spot!! Finally.... A big hands up to these guys for the most efficient check in we had during our 3 weeks stay in Fiji! In fact, I would go as far as saying this was one of the most painless check-ins that we have come across in a very long time!!

New Zealandsadly, musket cove is looking pretty run down in areas. the main pool needs renovating (missing tiles, cracked tiles, pool deck is worn and faded. the restaurant roof and exterior needs painting and we found the furniture pretty uncomfortable - especially the wooden set on our villa patio. we were also disappointed we couldn’t hire more than 1 old bike during our stay, especially as our island villa was a 5-7 min hot walk from any facilities. We had to ask for fresh beach towels during our 5 nights as they were hard to dry overnight - a poolside swap service would be great. Also not sure why we got charged for an omelette at breakfast one morning when all other egg options were free? I would recommend they invest in cushions for outdoor furniture, new bikes and some $$$ spent on reviving the pool area.
Beautiful resort - lovely staff, nice beach at high tide and the pools were warm. we liked the choice in restaurants with Dick’s, Traders and the option to bbq at the island bar. our island villa was clean and spacious with air conditioned bedrooms and comfy beds. we appreciated the free water and milk in our villa and found the food to be great. I had 3 treatments at Makare Spa and they were all amazing. Kudos to the team there.

New ZealandI had only one bad experience with massage. We got 1 hour massage for 3people , each of us get 42 min instead of 1 hour. it was a big disappointment. I talked the manager and they told me we gave you discount . when we were check out ı saw 6 FJd discount. I paid 110 FJd. More than quarter massage ı did not have. it was ridiculous. Be careful when you are having massage. make sure they do what you pay.

New ZealandFurniture and towels were slightly tired but it went with the island vibe! Could be noisy at night with things falling on the roof but not sure much can be done about that.

AustraliaThe bathroom in the bure needs a bit of an update. The toilet was quite filthy and there were little worms coming out of the shower head. I also expected the towels and sheets to be refreshed every day or at least every second day, but they weren't changed at all during our 5 day stay! The most disappointing part was the week-long regatta that the hotel hosted while we were staying there, which we weren't told about when we booked, and they had extremely loud music playing every night until 10:30pm right outside our bure.
Meals included was a huge bonus, and the food was delicious! Location of the hotel is fantastic. The beach and pool were both amazing. The staff were all very friendly.

New ZealandStaff were friendly but seemed to gravitate towards order/richer/larger groups of people so we were often having to go order at the bar during dinner. Food was great on the Saturday evening when they had the pic on a spit evening but other nights it was pretty standard/average with minimal seafood options. Staff didn't police the "no reserving of cabanas/loungers with towels" rule. Cocktails were very hit and miss. There are a lot of non guests at the resort who are starting in yachts in the marina or nearby - some of them were very inconsiderate of those around them eg being loud and obnoxious during the cultural performance and in general, even at the cafe before anyone was drinking.
Beautiful location. Friendly staff. Free snorkeling trip was great! Supermarket on-site was very helpful. Definitely enjoyed my stay but probably not enough to come back. Lobster sandwich at the traders cafe was delicious. Staff provided water and shortbread daily to the room which was a nice touch. We loved the birds, toads, crabs and fish visible from our room on the lagoon.
