The hosts were very nice and friendly. They were always happy to help guests. While staying here, I got a lot of information about hiking up Altyn Arashan from them and other travelers. Here I could double check that the walking path is the jeep road as well. Very nice and good place to stay. The minibus No 350 with the sign "AK-Cyy Kypopt" departs at 7:15 am from Aktilek Bazaar Bus Station. I got on the minibus just next to the hostel at 7:23 am. I got off the minibus and started walking up at 7:50 am. I arrived at Altyn Arashan at 11:10 am and had lunch. I started walking down at 12:06 am. I arrived at the minibus stop at 15:15 pm. I got on the minibus at 15:30 pm and came back to Karakol. It took me about 8 hours, including lunch time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Oasis Residence in Bishkek, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff, who were available 24/7 to assist with any needs. The junior suite I stayed in was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. It featured all the amenities I could ask for, including Wi-Fi, a TV, a writing table, and a comfortable sofa. The en suite bathroom was pristine, and the overall ambiance was cozy and inviting.

This is a hidden jewel. Burul is an amazing host. She is caring, engaging, curious, and her dishes are to die for! I had the Mantii and Plov for dinner, and felt so much happier afterwards! Her breakfasts are also amazing, but the atmosphere that she and her husband Johnny create is magnificent. It’s relaxed, welcoming and almost loving. She genuinely cares for her guests, and it shows. I just loved being there, I slept well, and felt very much at home.

Nothing. The portable air conditioner is available, and it’s a tad noisy, but nothing can be done about that.

I loved the hospitality of Taku, Taikha and their family. Nurzat’s meals are wonderful, and so is the banter around the meal table! Taku recently built a new guest house just a couple of hundred yards away from the family home, with very comfortable beds! It’s very clean and when modernisation is complete, it’ll be fantastic!

The location is close to the major monuments . Diana was very well organised and informative of the areas of Bishkek. She speaks English well so it’s convenient as not many people even younger generation are not comfortable in communicating in English . The laundry facilities both washing and drying are convenient to be utilised

Location is ok, close to the city centre, there is also a common kitchen in the premises where you can also cook / make tea / put things in the fridge... A washing machine is also available.

Rooms are on the ground floor and the lower side of the window is about 80 cm above the ground, so with the window open everybody can easily walk straight into the room from the street. It is not a pedestrian street, but there are cars parked behind the window.
