Great hotel with great stuff, Maurizio is THE best. He gave us good tips and helped a lot. The brakfast is nice, the rooftop terace is also grat place to relax. Maybe the part of the town is not the best one but we took the taxi and there was no problem to move around the city. Same quality would be much more in other part of Napoli.

Beautiful, helpful hosts. You must stay here. Little bit of a walk to restaurants. Parking included and very safe behind a boom gate.

Surrounded by the Campania countryside and overlooking Mount Vesuvius, Il Nido Sorrento is a 10-minute drive from Sorrento. It offers free Wi-Fi and a free summer shuttle to the city center. The hotel manager Dino and the rest of the staff were so lovely, kind, and welcoming. My friend and I had a train to catch at 6am, and Dino offered to personally wake up at 5:30am and drive us because of how expensive a taxi would be. The food was also excellent at this restaurant! Could not recommend more.

Old Caserta (medieval) great for historical buildings, country scenery, including a magnificent herd of goats and a beautiful old church. There are also a couple of restaurants there--Lupo's was recommended but we chose to picnic instead Read that a scene from Star Wars 5 was filmed at the Palace but Palace was closed on a Tuesday so we couldn't see it. Next time we'll take a train to Campania to explore. Fantastic shopping in town-bought a leather jacket at Nera's and the shop owner hemmed the sleeves for us that very day. If you want an easy pace, fantastic food and history go here.

Naples was the control center of south Italy before Italy was united, so there are many museums and castles of interest within the city itself. It is also a good base to explore the Campania region like Pompeii, Ercolano, Mt. Vesuvio and even Sorrento. Highly recommended for people to get the Campania arte card Tutte la regione to travel. And of course, Naples is the origin of pizza margheritas and they take their Baba al rhums very seriously!

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station (we came up from Naples by train), the Royal Palace (our main reason for visiting Caserta), and car rental outlets (we left in a rental car to visit the Campanian wine country. We were perfectly satisfied with our choice, the location perfect for our needs as well as being close to the centre of town (for window shopping) and good restaurants (there is an in-house restaurant, but we ate dinner elsewhere). The room was comfortable and well appointed.

Staff were the nicest people, had great fun and would totally recommend to anyone travelling in Campania.

Clean, large space. Location provides handy access to all the major destinations in and around Campania (it’s about a 15 minute walk uphill from the ferry dock) without the crowds, etc. Access to hotel resources (vs asking a landlord) was a plus (e.g. fresh beach towels).
