Where do I start? It is such a nice property to stay at in Hida. The house is situated on a quiet but main pedestrian street in Hida. The property has all the amenities you need and is kept in peak conditions. There's also a kitchen if you want to cook some of the local specialities (Hida Beef) yourself. The main attraction is the outdoor bath, it was a bit cold coming in and out of the bath but what a nice feature to have.
Breakfast was also included and delivered daily, we went for the traditional Japanese option for our stay and it was a nice hearty breakfast to have!
Boasting a 140-year old history, Busuitei is located within an 8-minute walk from JR Hidafurukawa Train Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

One of the best meal I ever had in my life! We arrived quite late and hosts still take the time to walked us through the facility to welcome us then serve the dinner. The 12 course dinner was unforgettable and each of the dish was truely made with the best local ingredients and the craftmanship of masterchefs. You can see and feel and taste the food, knowing that the hosts are truely offering you the best of the best they have. We are definitely coming back again!

The villa was spacious, clean, comfortable, and luxurious. We were blown away by the interior aesthetics which exceeded the images shown on the listing. Amenities were generous and excellent facilities were provided. Cups, plates, beverage classes (from pretty Japanese tea cups to glass-cut sake cups were provided). Definitely able to accommodate a group of 5-6 comfortably. Bed was really comfy, clean, and the whole apartment smelled so good.

We enjoyed the novelty of living Japanese style, sitting at the low table and sleeping on the floor but the novelty wore off because we are all in our seventies and sitting with no back support began to hurt our backs. We began to roster the time sitting on the one chair. The bus stop out in front was great as were the nearby shops. We enjoyed being out in the country away from the hustle of Takayama. Spotlessly clean.

Clean, staff super nice, this is a small town so do not expect they would speak English but they try really hard to explain themselves using the translator and super nice and helping in everything they can

This city is a little gem of Japanese culture. A great size to walk the quaint streets and talk with shopkeepers. We happened on a temple shrine being carried through the streets and a group of men building a structure to carry drums for the upcoming Hilda Festival.

I've been to Hidatafurugawa for the second time, and it still doesn't let me down. It might be my favorite little town in Japan or even on Earth.
Everyone should try the Kaiseiki style Japanese dinner in Yatsusankan, it's a unforgettable experience.
