Near Hemije only 30mins away on local JR train, so convenient for visiting Hemije castle. This is a truly authentic Ryokan in a small town. The town is unremarkable, but the rooms and the meal was absolutely Fantastic, and perhaps the most authentic experience of a Ryokan we had over a 16 day trip in Japan. I would definitely recommend and i hope one day myself to return.

My friends and I had an amazing 4 nights stay in the super lovely Nook's Kitchen. Booking a stay here means access to a beautiful hundred-years old traditional house, a cozy modern annex building, a second level open balcony area with views of the mountains and countryside, an outdoor patio and the garden which is just steps away from rice fields - how often can you find such an accommodation! Naoko-san is the most hospitable and helpful host you can find - from the time of booking to long after we had left, she had most patiently answered our numerous questions and extended help in many ways, from travel recommendations to booking of restaurants and onsen, sourcing local goodies and more; she had made sure our stay is comfortable in every way. She is also an amazing chef with a wide repertoire - so even if you don't like game meat, she will be able to whip up something else that suits your palate and tastes just as delicious. Would definitely love to return to Nook's Kitchen for a stay again!

Fabulous hotel!! We stayed in the Prestige King Room and the views were just phenomenal!!! We loved the bath and shower and the staff were just so nice, they couldn't do enough for us. A great first stay for our honeymoon in Japan!
