Meiji no Okano Yado, hotel in Biei

Meiji no Okano Yado has air-conditioned guest accommodation in Biei, 41 km from Windy Garden, 23 km from Kaguraoka Park and 23 km from Asahikawa Yojo Station.

On a tour round Hokkaido you’re going to experience a pretty broad range of accommodation - but this was a highlight for me. The owners are a lovely and welcoming couple and the lodge is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The view of the mountains as the sun came up was spectacular. As an alternative to the urban places, and for somewhere away from the crowds in beautiful countryside this is hard to beat.

Biei Villa Rubeshibe Hill, hotel in Biei

Situated in Biei in the Hokkaido region, Biei Villa Rubeshibe Hill features accommodation with free private parking.

Our stay at Villa Rubeshibe was absolutely wonderful. It has beautifully designed interiors, and was the perfect size for our multigenerational family of 8 - 2 adults and 2 kids took the bigger family-sized Japanese-style room with ensuite bathroom, 2 adults in the second room and another 2 adults in the 3rd. There is a huge living room and couch where we lounged after dinner, and an 8-seater dining table where we gathered over meals. We stayed in one of the nights and made dinner comfortably because of a lack of restaurant options on a Monday night in Biei. Two-in-1 oven and microwave (would reco only using one function at a time, the residual oven heat would be too hot for microwaving something), 4 stoves, lots of kitchen utensils and serving plates, a wide variety of wine and sake glasses (white, red, burgundy, champagne flutes, sake pot and glasses etc). The host was great, walking us through the property and explaining how to use the various amenities upon check-in, and sending us off on check-out. We also appreciated all the little touches - many complimentary bottles of juice and bottled water, the nespresso machine and capsules in the kitchen AND every single room, herbal tea from the region, etc. There is also a large jacuzzi tub with jets - use it!!

Coro Coro, hotel in Biei

Situated in Biei, Hotel Coro Coro provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden featuring seasonal flowers. Complimentary WiFi is provided.

The host is so nice and welcoming! She wants you to feel good in her house and make sure you have everything you need. She also nicely offered to pick me up and drop me off at the train station (the house is a little bit outside the town center). It was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I really enjoyed staying there even if it was only for one night. It is much more personal than many other places/hotels where I stayed. Great experience. Thanks again!

ヴァンテアン舎(vingt et un house), hotel in Biei

Located in Biei, 38 km from Windy Garden and 23 km from Kaguraoka Park, ヴァンテアン舎(vingt et un house) offers air conditioning.

This place has been the most well thought out and beautiful apartment I've ever stayed in. It's huge and equipped with everything, and the detail and care put into designing this place is just incredible. I wish we were staying longer. It looks better than in the pictures. There are three bedrooms, each with 2 beds which fit 2 people, and one tv per room plus another in the lounge, all with fire sticks (internet style tv). The bathroom is laid out so people can use toilet, sinks, shower and washing machine all at the same time but still with privacy in mind, and 2 huge bathroom sinks. Washing machine has drying rack and accompanying hangers for drying. Well equipped kitchen etc. Great for travellers and locals alike. The host is super nice and helpful and run by her husband is the curry shop downstairs - it is delicious. I can see this place selling out and becoming pricey in the future once it gets well known, I'm glad we found it just after it appeared and got to stay here.

It's a beautiful place that is best visited during summer where the air is cool and the sun is bright and the fields are lush and welcoming. I rented an electronic bicycle and loved riding it through the fields of Biei - it was such a beautiful place. The Shirahige waterfall and bluepond is kinda small and far out but still worth taking a look if you are around the area and drive. Public transport to the 2 place are quite terrible because the JR train schedule does not align with the bus timing at all. I will blog and vlog more about my trip on my blog if I have time.

There are so many scenic lookouts and tourist places in the area. Farms are absolutely beautiful and driving on a road to mount Tokachi (Blue pond is also on the way) has good view as well. Cycling is also nice in summer season, but I recommend to rent a car if you are with kids or elder person since there are so many hills to climb :)

Excellent location by the falls and the Blue Pond, easy access, as well as for visiting the area. We had a car but if you request ahead of time they have a shuttle. This is an older traditional inn with a great open-air bath. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, all works well. Staff is friendly and helpful, spoke some English. Price is reasonable. Food was ok. We were a little worried because of negative reviews but then it was a good surprise! We would definitely go back and recommend this hotel.

Adagio Villa is a wonderful property. The architecture of the villa is really amazing and it is very comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. He speaks great English, too. The location is amazing! The villa is surrounded by trees and the view from the windows is private and peaceful. Walking around the property, you can see the Biei countryside and watch the sunset over the hills. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

We stayed one night at the villa one night at the main building. If you are a large group consider taking the villa, the main building has better view though. They picked and dropped us up from Biei station. We did take the taxi one time. It costs around 1200¥. The location is wonderful, specially to enjoy sunset. They have free bicycle which you can borrow to ride around. The host lady super nice and very accomodating.

The location of the minshuku is very close to the railway station in Biei and it is clearly recognisable. I greatly appreciated the detailed information provided regarding how to enter the property and the room. The room and common areas were well-maintained and very clean. In addition, the property has everything needed to cook and is pretty much exactly opposite a supermarket that is open until 7 p.m.

It's a very small hotel, and the staff were exceptionally helpful. If possible, order the breakfast and dinner - both were absolutely delicious and used a lot of fresh local ingredients. Another amazing feature was the wood-fired sauna and baths. Guests can reserve the bathrooms to use privately (I think for a maximum of one hour) and after a long day of hiking it was fantastic.

The hot spring is good! We enjoyed the hot spring facilities, wearing yukata and the dinner spread is acceptable. It is very near to the beautiful Shirahige waterfalls. Shuttle bus is provided from the Biei Station - just remember to pre book with the hotel.

Far enough away from town that you can see the stars. The receptionist who greeted us (Jack) was extremely friendly! It's also a very pretty hotel, reminiscent of a log ski lodge. The view from the leisure room is also absolutely stunning
