Wow, what a fantastic stay. Toto the cat was cute. We got picked up and dropped off from bus station. Lovely walk around lake and dam. Made use of cable car.

The onsens are really the star of the show at this hotel, and the time we spent bathing under the stars, with the sound of the river and the forest at night will be something I never forget. The natural beauty of this place is beyond words and there was a real allure to the isolated nature of the location (even if it is a challenge to get to!). The free shuttle from Meotobuchi Parking Lot was easily accessed with minimal Japanese speaking, and the hotel staff were all polite, helpful and accommodating to us as the only foreigners visiting on a busy weekend.
