Excellent and beautifully clean room with a breathtaking view of the lake and the island. Its tranquil setting directly at the water is surely unique. We asked them for a honeymoon room deco and the team went out of their way to accommodate our wishes. The bed was very comfortable once we had all the decoration removed. And the traditional Indonesian bathroom was spotlessly clean. We felt spoiled by the choice of excellent local and international food on the breakfast buffet. Which was included in my room price. I enjoyed a complimentary Kajak paddle and treated myself to a very good Batak massage. The young and friendly Indonesian staff was always helpful and courteous. This little gem at lake Toba is surely a place we will come back to.

We had a wonderful time, staying here over the christmas time. The food was awsome and we could easily hire a motorbike for cheap money to explore the island. Especially the owners and the other staff were super friedly and gave us tips were to go and to visit and always helped us with information and transport to and from ferry. This is what I did not like: Small buffet and Eggs were cold and the coffee had a lot of sugar in it and the milk also had a lot of sweetness. Some places offer both sweetened and unsweetened coffee which allows the guest to decide. Some people have diabetes. Restaurant had limited good options and no bar which is surprising for a place that size. We needed the restaurant to open at 7:00 am when we had to catch the water taxi at 7:30 to leave and they barely got us our coffee and breakfast after being there right at 7:00 and we had informed them we were checking out and paid up the night before causing some stress.
