The guy that owns this place and his family work very hard to help the guests and make sure we have everything we need. They drove us to dinner, shared their barbecue with us, arranged snorkelling, took us to the ferry and more. The hostel part and the pool are very new and the beds have a light & power outlet.
The Grand Bakas Jungle Retreat Villa is located in Klungkung and features a private pool and garden views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the villa free of charge.

Best place to stay, if you wanna skip the day-tour tourist from the mainland and enjoy the Kelinking Beach at the afternoon with just a few people around. It's well located directly at the Kelinking Beach (5min walk). One of the greatest hostel beds, I slept in, although it's a 12 dorm. You got your own cabin with a 130cm bed. As a couple we slept perfectly together in one bed. Brand new and thick mattresses.
It's a 45-60min drive from the harbour (~300K by car). The place is more quiet, but they arrange tours from the hostel for daily amusement. Unfortunately you have to go back to the harbour for snorkeling tours. But having Kelinking Beach for yourself is worth it.
The Restaurant provides good food for a decent price. And the owner are super friendly and willing to give you the best time (Family business)
All in all good place to stay if your looking for a special place and some me time. Comparing to what you get, it's a ridiculous low price.

The hotel is remote with one restaurant to provide all your meals there or in the room . No shops etc.
You need a driver to take you to any temples etc.
We couldn’t to any treking activity during our time as it was rainy. Nice to just chill.
Lovely staff very helpful at reception and restaurant. Lovely views

We explored the Royal Palace and grounds.
We explored the Royal Palace and grounds. Quite interesting history of both important battles but also process of producing food.
We also bought excellent gifts at nearby clothing stores.
Heard about other activities but didn't have longer than a couple of hours.

The location is great for motorbike enthusiasts.
The location is great for motorbike enthusiasts. You can travel almost alone using small roads. Some of them are steeper than others, so be careful, but it is 100% great experience. From there it is easy to ride to Sidemen or visit absolutely stunning Brahma Statue or White Beach or many waterfalls or beautiful rice fields or anything else :)
If you are around, you definitely have to stop in Monkey Bar - stunning view, infinit pool, great food. Rating 15 of 10 :D
