The hotel was the largest place we stayed at during our walk (Hadrian's Wall) but was well decorated and comfortable enjoying a fantastic location next to the River Tyne which would provide a nice place to relax on the terrace in the summer.
The food in the restaurant was good, served hot and well portioned, the breakfast was also hearty both enjoyed whilst overlooking the river and historic bridge crossing.

Everything about this trip was amazing. We booked in for a meal on our first night, and I’d throughly recommend doing so. It was all cooked to perfection, and the sticky toffee pudding was soo good! Breakfast the following day was stunning too, definitely a great start to the day. Our room was lovely, good size and very comfortable. We loved the fact there was board games available to use, we found it very handy and our daughter loved this. If you’re considering booking to stay here, do so, it won’t disappoint!

Great for anybody interested in walking, cycling and Roman history. Very little traffic on the roads and lanes linking the various places of interest. Found we were travelling around mainly on B roads which was very relaxing and showed us more of the countryside.

I went to a pub and stayed in for the evening, so this seems a dumb question. Why does Booking.com think that I holidayed in Newbrough? I didn't, I stayed there overnight as I rode through it. It was a village that seemed pleasant.
