Set in private grounds, the 17th-century Eshott Hall offers luxury bedrooms with period features.

From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, the staff were amazing. From the exceptionally chatty barman to the ladies at breakfast, who, when I mentioned I couldn't stop made me up a 'to go box'

A lovely welcome and then Paul was so friendly all the way through our visit. He shared lots of local knowledge with us. We really appreciated the flexibility Paul offered us. Really, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The position was perfect and but also really quiet. Just lovely.

Only nice thing was the land and gardens, everything else was a dive. No aircon in room really old bathroom and dirty floor granite. Really needs upgraded. Wish we staying in a Premier Inn instead. We had breakfast included but wasn't great at all we opted to eat out on the second day. Really don't recomend at all.

7 adults stayed here for the weekend. Such a beautiful cottage, with everything you need at hand. The cottage is massive! Plenty of space to socialise, or if you want to, relax on your own. The weather was glorious, so we enjoyed soaking up the sun in the garden. It was so peaceful and the views are stunning! We would definitely recommend staying at Blackpool Farm Cottage.

A great place to relax and get away from everything for a short while. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable and the grounds were good for gentle walks - we didn't play golf but it's there if you need it!! The main restaurant wasn't open but the food in the on site pub was good.

The photo and description of the rooms are not correct, the window was that small and high you could not see out of it, no comfortable lounge chairs in room as it was too small. Stuck up in a attic room with a sloping ceiling Pool area not clean towels left on beds not being used and cups and drink bottles left, changing area not clear, slippers and towel left in there, for over a hour Make your own bed ! What’s the excuse for this Restaurant staff excellent, meals lovely This WAS one of our favourite hotels, never again

We planned for a luxurious stay, maybe our very last holiday and needed and booked an accessible room. Our first berth was a suite, very acceptable but an awkward trip from the lift and without bathroom aids. When the lift broke down our second room was so far from reception that we had to use the car to get there due to my partner's disability - and given the daily change in room rate was sometimes dearer than the suite, which we only found out at check-out. Isolation, inconvenience and uncertainty completely ruined our stay and we could not possibly recommend the hotel as it presently managed.

Hotel staff are very helpful, sauna and swimming pool are right on the hotel and clean. The pub menu hasn't got loads of variety, but the food was good, also not a good variety of drinks available at the hotel and the pub.

Thehotel and rooms are lovely, very cozy and comfortable. we used the leisure facilities while there, the pool is small, but big enough to swim some laps. Cooked breakfast was excellent. We ate in the linden tree pub as the hotel restaurant isn’t open mid week in the evenings, the menu in the Linden Tree is fairly basic, but we all enjoyed our choices and the atmosphere in the pub was better than in the hotel, for both food and drinks.

The hotel was easy to get to and a great location for us. The grounds were well kept and lovely to see out of the window. There is so much character and charm around the hotel which is nice to see. Breakfast staff were an assist to the hotel. We could have done with more tea or hot water with breakfast but they provide a good selection overall.

We had a lovely stay and the location suited us, but it is a little out of the way and you need a car. The hotel is tired in places. The breakfasts were good but due to Covid were table service only. The evening meals were good. Some of the serving staff did not give eye contact so highlighting requests or problems was difficult at times.

The room and hotel entrance were absolutely fantastic. The entrance is an absolute masterpiece. The room was very clean, tidy, only thing that let the room down was the cheap coffee but apart from that it was lovely and the hotel is in such an amazing location if you like the wilderness.

Breakfast was great and the evening meal was lovely. I had a lovely room near the Spa and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are always pleasant and always have time for conversation. The Spa staff are also very nice, friendly and do great treatments.
