Eshott Hall, hotel in Eshott

Set in private grounds, the 17th-century Eshott Hall offers luxury bedrooms with period features.

From the minute I arrived to the minute I left, the staff were amazing. From the exceptionally chatty barman to the ladies at breakfast, who, when I mentioned I couldn't stop made me up a 'to go box'

The location is perfect…….totally private and quiet. Very clean room The bar area is very small and the drawing room is small……however if you’re looking for a private venue for your wedding ( so you take over the whole place) then this is perfect!

Eshott Hall is a beautiful, relaxing blend of genuine old and modern. The food was excellent, top-notch, and always so very well presented. All the above was brilliant but the icing was the high quality of staff. Nothing at all to grumble or complain about.

The house was beautiful, spacious and clean, the grounds pleasant to walk round and all very dog friendly. The breakfast had a good selection of full English or Continental and all very well cooked. We ate our evening meal at the Old Boat house in Amble which I highly recommend. Eshott is easy enough to find and is a very picturesque little village.

Beautiful location in an old hall.

Beautiful location in an old hall. Our Sea-Biscuit Room was excellent with a huge bathroom with shower enclosure. A spa bath would have been an added luxury but you cant have everything, similarly the room would have benefited from a king sized, even a super king size bed and there would have still been loads of room. Breakfast choice and quality was excellent - we did not eat in the hotel at night so am unable to make a comment but if the food was as good as it was at breakfast then I am sure it will be excellent. Selection of wines and bottled beers available at usual prices for hotel of this quality. No spa or gym on site but I believe the RPG's sister hotel at Doxford has these facilities so may try that next year.

We loved our room which had a view over the walled garden. Unfortunately up a flight of stairs, but we coped. Our first night's dinner was good but on the subsequent nights, dinner was served in a rather bleak hall which was not as cozy. Perfect location for exploring nearby attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, the puffins and Holy Isle. No parking issues and easy access to our rooms.

The house itself was beautiful, and our room (Versailles) huge and well decorated. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant was out of action for the night of our visit, but the provision of a free taxi service to a local gastro pub was a thoughtful touch that made up for some of our disappointment at missing dining at the hotel.

Excellent from start to finish. The house, location, and staff all exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and very well proportioned, with a lovely, comfy bed. Food in the restaurant was as good as I have had anywhere on our travels. We are already looking when we could go back ! Thank you all at Eshott for making our anniversary break extra special !!

Requested a specific room which we were told we were allocated Arrived to find we were put in a different room. Very disappointed and even more so that I've contacted the hotel twice regarding this and had no acknowledgement or apology from management. For the price, this is very disappointing. Breakfast is also not good.

The hotel is high quality in a great setting. The evening meal and breakfast were fantastic but so were the prices The staff were really good My pal and I are walkers and it's not really a typical walkers facility but it was fine, if very expensive
