The beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was fine.
However we felt it was very expensive for what we actually got. Only a small shower gel left - no nice guest soap. No one around to ask anything of either.
On the plus, the room was a good size and we had a lovely evening meal just round the corner at the Greys Inn. Very friendly staff there and good food at a reasonable price.

We took our small dog with us and the lady who served us breakfast even brought a sausage for our dog. 😀 A lovely touch.

This hotel was fantastic! Excellent location a stone's throw away from the beachfront of Seahouses.
The hotel was spotless, and our room was very clean and beautifully decorated, including the bathroom.
Staff were helpful and polite.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious - we loved that you got different options from the menu other than full English - Avocado on toast etc, and the continental selection was great.
The hotel allowed you to use the nearby pool facilities - I think this is fantastic although we didn't have time to use them on our trip - it definitely would persuade us to come back!
Originally built in 1818, this beautifully restored country house is set in 10 acres of grounds, 15 minutes’ drive north of Alnwick.

Extremely helpful staff at reception. At check in and check out Luke was particularly helpful and went the extra mile to answer my queries. Beautiful hotel and grounds and very relaxing ambiance with plenty quiet areas like the library and gardens to enjoy. Dinner was in a beautiful dining room and beautifully presented with and excellent menu. Although I was just on holiday it would be ideal for a special occasion too. Because I brought my dog with me we coud have a lovely breakfast in the cocktail bar and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to do this as part of their excellent pets policy , which with all the little touches in the room was one of the best I've come across. Leisure facilities were very nice too and the grounds were lovely to explore.

Beautiful property with amazing views and a lovely living space.
Embleton is well situated. The village is quite small but has lovely places to eat. We ate in The Grey’s Inn and the food was great.
Just a short drive away is Seahouses with a harbour and restaurants serving the freshly caught fish. Bamburgh is also a short drive with a beautiful beach and a fantastic castle to visit.
Holy Island Lindisfarne is a bit further up the coast and is another gorgeous place to spend a day- make sure you check out the tide times!
Embleton is perfectly situated for all of these places.

Nice little village and a mile from the bay, with its long sandy beach, which is very accessible and clean. Not much in Embleton Village except for a couple of pubs and a convenience store, but fine if you have a car and is on the coastal road too with Craster and Bamburgh not far away.

Impossible to list everything we liked as so much to enjoy! The scenery probably stood out most for us and the Hotel was as perfectly situated for everyday trips as could be! I have to say the beaches were stunning! This break has found us a little Gem in both Embleton and the Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel

Lovely small village, 3 pubs and a useful shop/post office. 15mins from larger supermarket.
10minute walk to the beach and then a 45min walk to a lovely dog friendly pub, The Ship, further north up the coast. Longer beach walks for those fitter than me

The beach is lovely.
The beach is lovely. Easily walk to Dunstanburgh castle and Craster and you can catch the bus back (about every hour in the day).
You can have a drink at the golf course, but beware the glass of wine I had was unpleasant clearly the bottle had been open too long.
Food at the Greys Inn was good and the staff great, but only serves Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Beer at the Dunstanburgh castle was good and the beer garden great, but the food wasn't amazing. Fish and chips looked good, but the beef stroganoff felt pre prepared and was poor . One customer commented to me how rude the manager was. Other people I talked to said the food was good.
The Bluebell is doing pizza and italian style tapas (opens at 6).
There is a takeaway fish and chip van on a Thursday 4-8
