The hotel was the largest place we stayed at during our walk (Hadrian's Wall) but was well decorated and comfortable enjoying a fantastic location next to the River Tyne which would provide a nice place to relax on the terrace in the summer. The food in the restaurant was good, served hot and well portioned, the breakfast was also hearty both enjoyed whilst overlooking the river and historic bridge crossing.

The location is beautiful and perfect for a peaceful getaway, ideally located for Hadrian's Wall, Corbridge, Hexham and many more local attractions. Wonderful location, remote and quiet. The bothy was immaculately clean, with all the facilities you could need. Underfloor heating was fabulous.

What a lovely little place! Fully equipped kitchen, cosy lounge, and the bed with huuuuuge duvet was so comfortable I didn't want to get out of it. The hosts provided lots of useful information about the cottage and surrounding areas, including local walks and interesting places to visit, and the small hamper of snacks/breakfast, and additional items such as a towel and water bowl for my pup were cute added touches which made us both feel very welcome! 😊
