Beach House Hotel, hotel in Beadnell

Located in Seahouses, 600 metres from Seahouses North Beach, Beach House Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

This hotel was fantastic! Excellent location a stone's throw away from the beachfront of Seahouses. The hotel was spotless, and our room was very clean and beautifully decorated, including the bathroom. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - we loved that you got different options from the menu other than full English - Avocado on toast etc, and the continental selection was great. The hotel allowed you to use the nearby pool facilities - I think this is fantastic although we didn't have time to use them on our trip - it definitely would persuade us to come back!

Felt very well looked after. Breakfast was exceptional, highly recommend the Seahouses kipper! The room was clean, spacious and inviting, bed was comfortable and we loved the complimentary cake and tipple. Really lovely touches that made our stay very comfortable.

Doxford Hall Hotel And Spa, hotel in Beadnell

Originally built in 1818, this beautifully restored country house is set in 10 acres of grounds, 15 minutes’ drive north of Alnwick.

Extremely helpful staff at reception. At check in and check out Luke was particularly helpful and went the extra mile to answer my queries. Beautiful hotel and grounds and very relaxing ambiance with plenty quiet areas like the library and gardens to enjoy. Dinner was in a beautiful dining room and beautifully presented with and excellent menu. Although I was just on holiday it would be ideal for a special occasion too. Because I brought my dog with me we coud have a lovely breakfast in the cocktail bar and staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to do this as part of their excellent pets policy , which with all the little touches in the room was one of the best I've come across. Leisure facilities were very nice too and the grounds were lovely to explore.

Beadnell is now a mainly tourist village, with a lot of new houses and more being built. But this is because it is such a good location, right next to the sea with the coast path, the wide and long sandy beaches and tiny old harbour. for a small places there are quite a few places to eat, and a shop. It is very popular with people with dogs, and kite-surfers!

Beadnell is a busy destination during the summer.

Beadnell is a busy destination during the summer. It has good beaches, several coffee shops and restaurants to suit most people. The Courtyard Coffee shop was particularly handy for a quick bite to eat. A Fish and Chip van is parked near the village shop but you would need to check opening times. Very good local village shop which is clean and well stocked. Food, Gifts cards, Ice cream, drinks, newspapers magazines wine and beer. You can walk between the village and the harbour. There is a caravan park and several chalets to rent out. There are a number of places to park but at weekends and peak times it’s a little more tricky. A short car ride away is Seahouses and in addition Beadnell is a good base to explore the Northumbrian coast.

Excellent location for Farn Islands and Holy Island. Only complaint is there are very few restaurants or pubs nearby and the cafe closed at 5pm. Accommodation is very good value for what we paid and is roomy and comfortable for 2 people.

Friendly, helpful staff, despite it being incredibly busy when we checked in on Saturday night. excellent cooked breakfast the following morning. Nice comfortable room, with good drawer space - a rarity in so many hotels these days. We ate in the hotel on the Saturday night. Although it was really busy, the staff had thoughtfully kept a table for us, and the service was good despite the restaurant being full.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our hosts. So many little touches that made the cottage so homey and warm. Bright decor, lovely little ornaments plus the addition of hand-wash, kitchen towel, toilet rolls, condiments which were totally unexpected but gratefully received. The kitchen was well equipped and cottage well furnished. Beadnell Tower was a short walk and a great place to eat.
