Featuring a restaurant, bar, garden and free high-speed WiFi, Purchases Restaurant is located in Chichester, 300 metres from Chichester Cathedral and 4 km from Goodwood Motor Circuit. We loved staying at Purchases from the minute we walked in the door, restaurant staff met us and showed us to the room. The room was lovely and the bed comfortable. You couldn’t beat the location. The bathroom was the largest we had of all the hotels we stayed in during our first trip back to the UK in 3 years.

You sit by floor to ceiling windows looking out on the spectacular gardens. The bedroom (Pear) was large and had three windows overlooking the gardens. Staff are friendly, kind, competent. Dinner came with 4-5 little extra food treats between courses. A marvellous experience!

Sensitively modernised historic building. Clean comfortable rooms with excellent en-suite. Beautiful surroundings close to the attractions of West Sussex. Quiet. Ample safe parking plus charging points for electric vehicles. Good restaurant and perfectly cooked full English or continental breakfast. Pleasant bar area to return to at end of evening. Proprietor and staff very helpful and professional. Why risk the uncertainties of a rented holiday flat when you can get all the amenities of a traditional good hotel for the same cost.

A lovely 'old fashioned' hotel! The hotel is superbly located in Arundel, serves fabulous food, superb beer, and has the most wonderful, friendly, and helpful staff. The breakfast menu was especially noteworthy, with the full 'English' being one of the best we've eaten. The hotel is perfectly located to explore Arundal itself without needing a car, and also makes a great 'base' from which to explore the beautiful West Sussex.

A tray was brought to your room, all top quality food and superbly presented. Everything was spotlessly clean, our room and bed were very comfortable. If you are thinking of going to this part of West Sussex, would recommend this hotel. Restaurants and town a 5 or 6 minute walk.

Good geographical position for East and West Sussex and Gatwick Airport. Also, for the coast. Plenty of free parking. Good rail connection direct to London in under hour.

The location is perfect, overlooking the town square and a five minute walk to Arundel Castle. The parking is right on property so it is very convenient, but you do have to pay extra. There are several different common areas and dining areas, all of which are very charming. I very much enjoyed my meal and drinks at the Norfolk Bar. Best gin & tonics I have had in England.

One of the best hotel spas we've been to in England! The place is really well maintained, has all the charms of yesteryears but the conveniences of today. I especially enjoyed the pool, wish I could've swam more! The food was also really lovely, haven't seen a delicious breakfast spread like that in ages.
