Good location for a stay in Haywards Heath. Free on site parking a plus. We were able to walk into town centre in 20 - 25 minutes. First floor bedroom was large and airy with high ceilings and lovely large windows with view out over garden with mature trees - also not overlooked and nice and quiet. Bathroom was bright, large and contemporary with good sized bath.

Breakfast was fine. The host was very friendly and helpful, and the location is very peaceful. We could sit on the terrace with a lovely view and watch the sheep. The hosts are farming sustainably which is great.

This property is situated in a peaceful, tranquil setting near the South Downs at East Chiltington, ideal for a quiet, relaxing break. We loved the cottage garden with it’s little winding paths and varied seating areas with plenty of room to sit and dine outside and enjoy the view of the downs as well as the colourful flowering plants and quirky trimmed oak trees. Our room was very comfortable and had a large en-suite shower.
We very quickly felt at home, and very much enjoyed our stay, and walking on the Downs.

Friendly and comfortable. I also left an item in my room and they kindly posted this back to me which I was very grateful for. This was my second stay and will definitely stay again. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

I love Haywards heath,I have live and work I for almost 17 years. The place I stayed was near the town centre and hospital PRH. Shopping and going to work are walking distance 10-20 minutes. I wish I could return to Haywards heath soon. What a lovely place I left behind. Full of lovely memories of a place I have . Food stores and restaurants Thai, Italian, English and French, Spanish.

Haywards Heath is a small modern town with easy commuting to London and Brighton. There are a good range of shops, including a decent Marks and Spencers an excellent Waitrose, Sainsburies, Tesco etc. Also a good range of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
It’s small enough to walk around the town, but there are buses and the railway station is well connected.
Parking is moderately expensive. There is a small but modern Hospital with an emergency room.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with the South Downs visible from the town.

I have been using this hotel for the last 3 years, its a 15-20 min walk from where my Son & Daughter-in-law live. Its dog friendly, as we have 2 dogs and it's only a 20-30 min walk into Haywards Heath Town centre, where there are great shops, cafes and a great micro brewery, which is very friendly. We have had breakfast there, which is brilliant with loads of choices, if we let them we are having breakfast they set us a table in their sitting room next to the restaurant as we can sit with the dogs. Staff are lovely, very friendly. We are looking forward to our next in 2024.

We popped into town but think we weren't at the main part with the shops.
We had a great meal and service at the nearby Harvester,
Area nearby is very pretty but you would need to investigate places to visit if you were touring, not much to do
We stayed specifically for a cheese and wine tour of the Bluebell Vineyard 15 mins away, but public transport was not available to the venue so ended up driving anyway

Had business in Haywards Heath so booked just one night. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and spacious the room was. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was very good with loads of choice. We did get a message from Booking.com informing us that only continental breakfast was being served but ignore this we had a full English, but be warned if you upgrade to the large breakfast, they do mean large it is a proper plate full and very tasty

Haywards Heath itself is a fairly unremarkable place, We booked it for its convenience of access to places we wanted to go to rather than for itself.. But I'm sure it would have provided any facilities we needed, we just didn't look for them! We found some excellent pubs in the surrounding area, which we found to be charming.
Beautiful little apartment with everything we needed. The whole place was spotless, Di is incredibly friendly and easy to contact. There was even a bottle of Prosecco and beer in the fridge upon arrival which is enjoyed. All toiletries provided too and beds comfy. The apartment was lovely and warm too during our November stay. Location also very central to Haywards Heath, I. Walking distance to Waitrose and the train station. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to stop here again!
there was no breakfast available, but we could have made it ourselves by using thewell equiped kitchen
We went in a nearby hotel for breakfast because we didn't have that much time.
We appriciated the cold drinks in the refrigerator and even a box of chocolates on the table
there were also towels in the bathroom
I arrived late and the staff still accommodated food for myself which they didn’t have to do.
I was leaving at 4am the next morning too so they hotel gave me a breakfast basket so I had some food for the morning!
Very helpful staff! Very nice Pub! Very nice Hotel room! Very comfy bed!
There is a lot to like. Toby and Emma are lovely, down-to-earth, friendly people. The room is comfy, light and airy. The annex in which the room is located is separate, private and tranquil. Field Cottage is in a leafy, picturesque area. Pleasant walks and nice pubs are close by.
I stay regularly at the Birch Hotel so I am able to give them a five star rating as they are consistent in all they do. Spotlessly clean friendly staff with a warm welcome. Character hotel rather than a chain so if like me you are a regular visitor it is like a home from home.
Hotel was fine, however Booking.com app says it is 2.8 miles from where I was playing golf, and it turned out to be 19 miles! Cost me over £70 in taxis to and from East Sussex National Golf Club. Complained to Booking.com and got told I should have checked a map! Not happy
We stayed at this hotel yesterday and can't recommend it highly enough. Very comfy, clean room and great pub with super friendly staff. Breakfast was brilliant too.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come for a return visit.
Breakfast and dinner in the hotel was delicious, beds were comfortable and the bath, shower and hot water were great. We liked the lounge and sport on the tv in the restaurant. The location was good too.
Great space, convenient and the owner had provided wonderful amenities. Great coffee, and beer and wine waiting cold. And an off-street parking spot is such a convenience in the UK.
Location ideal as close to a number of gardens and National Trust properties. Room spacious and the lighting excellent. The service from the staff was excellent
