Situated in Florence, less than 1 km from Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Friends of Michelangelo features express check-in and check-out and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was perfect. Quiet, suburban street that’s walking distance to all main city attractions. We were given amazing recommendations by the host that really helped make our stay in Florence feel more authentic.

This late 19th-century building is set along Arno River, just off Piazza Santa Croce and a 10-minute walk from Ponte Vecchio. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour reception. I had to book this room at the last minute, since my flight was canceled. The reception really helped me by checking me in very early, which I had not even expected that. The bar is very nice, with a lovely outdoor space. The spa and wellness area was very nice. I enjoyed the sauna and the jacuzzi was very relaxing. The room was large - bed was comfortable, shower very nice and the room had a nice little balcony. The location was central, close to the Arno River and the Santa Croce neighborhood but not in the center of everything. However, all the main attractions Florence has to offer could be accessed within a 15 minute walk. I also thought that the room was a great value. I was not expecting to pay as little as I did.
