It is a relative new establishment. The location, ambience, cleanliness, hospitality and behavior of all staff deserves special mention. The indoor games facilities, adventure games and spa facilities were all excellent. All the staff were very supportive and friendly displaying pleasant attitude. Overall it was a pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

The stay was in a prime location, with 2 beautiful rooms in a house that we had separate access to. The hosts were polite, and accommodating and they provided us with local Kerala special dishes on our request. Our stay was quite smooth with all the facilities.

View from the room and pool was amazing, would happily come back to stay again. Service was excellent, the staff were very attentive and accommodating of additional requests. The food was very good with a good selection during our stay. Room is good and clean.

the host mr jivan was extremely helpful and attended to all our requests immediately. the room and toilet was very clean and the room very clean and comfortable. our 2 day stay at periyar woods was like staying at our own homes bcos of the warmth n helpfullness of mr jivan. i would very strongly recommend this beautiful hotel to any guests wishing to have a comfortable stay. mr jivan always was v obliging to our requests altho at odd hours. overall our stay here was an exceptionally happy experience

And a double bed in the bedroom. Hotel is quite close to the Periyar shuttle bus stop. An auto rickshaw which can easily accommodate 3 pax charged ₹50/- to drop us there. Food at the Cinnamon Restaurant in the hotel was very good. We tried the local fish curry which was delicious! We also used the Spa facility for foot massages which was relaxing after the long Nature Walk in the Periyar National Park.

The setting was magical with spices growing all around and the sound of birds singing unique songs. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - they even booked our morning trek in Periyar Tiger Reserve for us. The spa was incredible as well - very relaxing massages! We also loved the food and I even had a cooking demonstration from the head chef. We loved everything about Amritara Shalimar and will definitely come and stay again next time we're in Kerala!

Shalimar is the place to relax, be away of the hussle, swim, have good Ayurvedic massages, good service and we met very nice people in the resort. We were especially touched by our cook who prepared the best food and gave us lot’s of attention when he noticed that we really wanted to know more about certain dishes and spices.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the tea plantations and do a safari. Good Ayurvedic massage at their spa.
