It is always very clean and comfortable and we always get a pleasant welcome from reception staff. It’s good value for money and we have no complaints. We weren’t able to contact the hotel direct but that wasn’t a problem. The breakfast was good and real value for money.

We had already booked a space and it was very easy to put the car where it would be safe for the night. Our room was cosy and full of rustic Normandy charm and we slept well, despite there being a lot of footfall on the street below our window (it was the evening before Bastille Day, after all, and lots of people had been out for their parade).

This feeling of age is continued as you check in and climb the stairs. But there the old world meets the new.
