This was a great hotel, but it had one problem (beyond its control): it was incredibly loud all night long. The staff was friendly, the location was wonderful, my room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a mini-fridge and bath tub, and it was nicely appointed and clean. But for two nights, I slept for only three hours due to outside noise.

Alma is in the old city -- all of the attractions are within a 15 minute walk. Our hostess was extremely helpful --we generally communicated with her via Whatsapp and she always responded very quickly. The old city is a charming maze of alleys but there are many signs (in English) on the walls, including signs to Alma once you are within a few blocks of the place. After the first day, you will have no trouble finding your way around. And the apartment we stayed in was very nice.

The apartment was very generous in size and rhe view was so breathtakingly incredible! Roi was an amazing and responsive host. He answered questions quickly and even helped arrange a last minute taxi ride when we needed it. We didn't want to leave!

great location: close to everything, couple of minutes walk to sea, a minute away from the market, a small everyday store with friendly staff just a few meters away. The bathroom is large and comfortable, there were several bottles of liquid soap (although untagged). The host is very friendly and helpful, with great sense of humor )
A fascinating blend of cultures. This ancient city has incredible architecture going back centuries, beaches, amazing markets along with a huge number of things to see and do.
It is expensive - we could not afford the top end restaurants and most of the exhibits charge entry.
Drive out of the city for even more....
This was my favourite stop in Israel and I would have liked to stay a week.

1 night 2 days was perfect. Had a great wander. Did the Templar Tunnels, found the best hummus in the world. Did a cooking lesson with a local. Akko is just the most lovely old city. Full of art and food and magnificent views. Hard to believe how ancient it is. It is so well kept. The locals have much pride. It is so clean. It was such a highlight.

Acco or Acre in English is a very old town dating from Canaanite times. It became the second capital of the Crusader kingdom (after Jerusalem) and was heavily fortified. after the crusader defeat by the Mamlukes it was partly destroyed, but was revived by the Ottomans, expanded and further fortified. It resisted Napoleon's siege and was no conquered. Dotted with historic sites, you become transported into Medieval times. Serious conservation efforts are apparent but hampered by budgetary constraints. Museums and Acre prison are well worth a visit. excellent seafood and Palestininan cuisine options.

The citadel is not to be missed.
The citadel is not to be missed. Excellent restaurants (fish is essential). I was surprised such a touristic site, UNESCO Cultural Heritage, was anyway not clean as it should.
The really too loud music on the horse carriage is unbearable.

Akko is an authentic old city mainly with arabic residents and culture, what adds a special feeling and atmosphere to it. Main positive thing is that people really live in old city, its is not a museum jet.
Excellent middle eastern themed breakfast. Acre is tiny. It is impossible to be far from any of the attractions. Uri Buri restaurant is around the corner. This is well known restaurant in Israel with a celebrity chef, despite its location and small size. The room is in an ancient building with thick stone walls. Super modern hotel features are superimposed on the old stone walls, like microwave, modern shower, LED lighting, motorized window shades. We connected with Micha who became our tour guide on our last day. Wonderful companion.
The hospitality was absolutely amazing. From when I first got in there I was welcomed with open arms. I stood three days two nights in acco. I can truly say the staff are now friends of mine. Also, there's a bar that's connected with the hostel. Super great, the food was also really nice. There's a big screen TV there. We watched the game. Great time. The music was really cool. I was asked more than once to play something I liked.
Overall if you're staying in Acco this is the place to be. Excited to go back
Our visit was great, we wish we stayed longer!
The location of the place is amazing, right by the beach, you have a balcony with amazing view right on the ocean.
The room and the hostel were really clean, the bed was super comfy and we just adored the style and all the small details in this place, nice chill zones and a self served bar!
The staff was super friendly, we even got upgraded to a bigger room because it was available.
Super clean, super comfortable, and a far better value than most other hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Israel. Small touches like comfortable pillows, full size towels, a nice TV, coffee/ tea/ water in the room are so appreciated. I suspect Akko will be extremely developed in the next 10 years and that properties like these will be 3x as expensive soon. Book now and have a wonderful time while you still have the chance.
the room is very beautiful, made with exquisite taste in an old building with a rich history.. I got great pleasure, a huge charge of positive energy, plunged into the world of the East and rested from worldly bustle.. Thank you very much to the owner of this hotel Zidan and the staff for their hospitality..I wish Prosperity to you, many happy days .. With deep respect and gratitude to you ..
Wonderful view of Akko and also Haifa from small balcony on first floor. Very good food (though more fruit would be welcome). Lavish breakfasts and dinners. Easy access to a long, quiet beach. Generally good facilities and very pleasant manager. Akko is wonderful and deserves more than the couple of hours most vistors spend there - there's a lot to see, and the best hummus in Israel!
This beautiful hotel is located in the heart of old bazar and close to many attractions. We liked the location very much. The owner is very nice, staff are very well trained, nice and helpful.
Breakfast was awesome!! Breakfast area is very nice and beautiful!
Incredibly beautiful rooms and courts, right under and among the old walls. I had the best hotel breakfast in my life. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very clean and comfortable. I had the smallest hotel room and it was still quite big.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very special. One can sit on the roof and watch the sunset over the sea, which is a spectacular bonus. The staff were extremely hospitable, and we had a wonderful stay.
We always like to come back to this great hostel, many times with family or friends from abroad. Great location, very good breakfast, really the best place to stay in Old Akko on a budget.
The hostess was wonderful. The room was very nice. The breakfasts were wonderful. If you’re looking for an Old City Acre experience, this hotel is in the middle of it!
