Nice resort, perfect for families as it’s not too big or small. The ski runs had simple greens/blues for beginners and a couple short but fun more challenging reds and black runs for the more experienced.
Food and restaurants could use more work. Not many restaurants to choose from and pricey too (even for simple pizza and pasta dishes).

Good place to visit during summer with since it has this fantastic amusement park for kids called Lilleputthammer. In addition to that have heard their a good Moutain biking park as well which I have not tried. During winter this place is transformed into a Ski resort. A small cosy town worthy for a weekend visit across the year.

Take ski lessons at Hafjell Skiskole with fantastic instructors that teach you step by step. Rent a variety of ski, boots, helmet, etc. at Hafjell Skibua across the road for expert fitting and personal service! Nice atmosphere on the slopes, and good facilities with showers and lockers. Go cross-country skiing if you can, the nature is amazing! Ski-buss 25min from Lillehammer to Hafjell.

Lovely family ski area, very nice facilities for kids and the most lovely, friendly ski school instructors - something for all levels. All the facilities you would expect, food/drink selection wasn't amazing.
The upper part of the slopes are flat and safe, great for learners and you don't have to ski all the way down (the gondola takes people down).
Only downside was a poorly managed gondola queue. We were there on an extremely busy day, but still - just stop people and make a single file/take 8 people at a time through the gates. As it was it was dangerous for kids who got pushed and showed. Hope they take steps to fix this one downside.

Visiting Hafjell during the summer gives you some great...
Visiting Hafjell during the summer gives you some great options to explore the area, either you like outdoor experiences, or just want to have hours of fun in the nearby leisure parks. Hunderfossen, Lilleputthammer, Hafjell Lekeland, and Jorekstad aquapark are our favourites.
Beautiful surroundings, great cross country skiing. Super nice main house for relaxation, eating, and drinking. The staff was friendly, service was good. The food was exceptional, but expensive for dinners, ending up costing as much as lodging, still well worth it. Guest house flat was not the best suited for winter sports, with no real entre for talking off ski clothes or boots, but otherwise great for the three of us. No room service, but helpful staff for replacement trowels on inquiry. Overall excellent stay, would love to come back.
Fantastic location high above the valley if you like walking, as we do. There are several possibilities of walking from the hotel over the nearby fell tops (map to buy 99NOK at reception). Free coffee/tea in reception at any time of day and very extensive breakfast included. We went in June, which was quiet and very good value B&B cost (if Norwegian prices give you a shock!).
1) Modern, clean and spacious apartment
2) Kitchen facilities with all utensils etc
3) Location next to nursery slope, chairlift, gondola and ski hire all a short walking distance away
4) Super friendly and welcoming staff at the Hotell Hafjell where you collect the keys from
We had a lovely stay and felt like home straight away. The best part was sitting outside in the garden enjoying the sun and having dinner outside. It was the perfect stay for us, especially as it is super close to the Hafjell bike park.
Fabulous, rather remote location at the top of the mountain right on the excellent ski trail system. Great view from the bar, perfect for after skiing. Excellent restaurant with good vegetarian and pescatarian options.
We really liked the room we were staying in and the location was great in relation to the skilling area. The breakfast was very good and gave positive energy into the day! We can easily recommend this place for staying!
The location was perfect for us just off Hafjell by the motorway. Very quiet and handy by the local main road. Plenty of Foodmarkets around and petrol stations. No more than 10 minutes from the slope by car.
Breakfast is FANTASTIC! This is the perfect location for a short ski holiday. The restaurant for dinner is also really great! Everyone was super friendly, and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay.
Excellent location to the park, nice surroundings, cosy atmosphere in the hotel itself. Snack shop, souvenir/toy shop, table tennis, cinema for kids. Nice breakfast, child friendly too!
We had a wonderful stay at Scandic Hafjell. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast variety was great and really delicious. Would recommend to others and return!
Good price, Great breakfast with many options. Good location, close to the alpine centre. Great with fridge in the hotel room. Nice and spacious public areas.
