I just love this hotel. While so many properties are becoming increasingly stingy about amenities, The Cody seems to be going the opposite direction. We had our dog and they were happy to accommodate this- no fee. We forgot a dog dish and they lent us one. The breakfast was great and fresh and real food-not a scary hotel breakfast we are all now seeing. The nightly price was also reasonable compared to prices we are seeing these days.

The cabin we we're in was spacious and the beds were comfortable. It is towards the end of town but we liked being away from everything and it's still a short drive to the rest of the town. It's nice to be able to park right in front of your cabin for easy loading and unloading, plus you can keep an eye on your car without worry.

The stay was exactly what I anticipated. The rooms were extremely clean. The property was easy to get in and out of. The breakfast was excellent. I saw a guest complaining about the breakfast for supposed lack of variety, but I don't know that they expect from a hotel buffet quick breakfast. Everything I saw and ate was excellent and I found the variety to be typical of free breakfast buffets. The staff was extremely pleasant. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

I am from Wyo. and am in Cody frequently, so I can't really comment on length stayed. We are usually in Cody for things that "normal" travelers are not. We are here for sports, to see friends, and other such things.

I loved the location, the motel itself and the rooms were great. Couldn't ask for anything better and the value for the cost was fantastic. I had mixed reactions for the staff. The gentleman who checked us in for the evening was great. Seemed to go out of his way explaining things and getting us into the room we booked online. However, the lady working the desk in the morning double charged my credit card by mistake (according to her) but didn't attempt to fix the charge even though she knew she had made the mistake. The manager had to be called to make adjustments and I'm still waiting for the adjustment to be cleared after 4 days.

We were there toward the end of the season.
We were there toward the end of the season. Our purpose was to go to the Whitney Western Art Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. It actually had 5 museums and we went to four of them. My husband loved the Buffalo Bill museum. I did love the Whitney, but also the Natural History Museum. In addition, Cody is only 58 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone, and the drive there is spectacular. We had not planned on going, but we did end up spending a full day there. Cody is definitely worth a stop.

Prices very high.
Prices very high. Got the impression people there liked you only for what you would spend. Very crowded. No place to eat because of the glut of people there. The Buffalo Bill Museum of the West was good. Enjoyable time spent there. The Chief Joseph Highway was awesome. Otherwise, the rest of this highly priced resort town is not for me. I will not return.

Excellent gateway location for the East Entrance Road in Yellowstone National Park. Also, a good starting point for Chief Joseph Scenic By-way and Beartooth Scenic Highway. There are so many things to see and do around Cody that one trip is certainly not enough!

Museum is beyond expectations, with an incredible gun/rifle...
Museum is beyond expectations, with an incredible gun/rifle history portion, Plains Indian portion that had incredible TeePee and items built to scale, western art portion with Russells and Remingtons among others, not to mention the Buffalo Bill Cody museum that is packed with memorabilia, all beautifully displayed. There is plenty of parking, a nice cafeteria and beautiful outdoor area that currently houses a recovering bald eagle. We walked the old downtown area, where there are numerous restaurants and art/clothing stores. And, don’t miss the old Trail Town on the outskirts of town! Or the Dam! And, you can see the Milky Way!
The hotel was very cool. We had the opportunity to see the gun show outside. My daughters loved it. It was about a half hour in length. The staff was amazing! My daughters wanted to know if the hotel was haunted and the hostess showed us the pictures and invited us to walk all through the hotel to see the various areas said to be haunted. It was fun and a few families were doing the same. Staying in the rooms was like stepping back in time. My daughters loved the old fashioned toilet pull and the bath tub.
I stayed with my 2 adult daughters and my 2 granddaughters, room size was small but sufficient for us all. Hotel definitely had an age gone by era about it, which was perfect for us. My big girls and little girls had so much fun in the outdoor pool, you don't see those everyday in Wyoming. The horse rides were the hit of the show for my oldest (almost 4 yr. old) granddaughter. Had some great visits with other guest. Well recommend to friends with kids that are visiting Cody. It was a nice stay.
The Scout Inn does provide coffee in the mornings, although no breakfast. The laundry facilities were convenient. They were able to accommodate us when we decided to stay a couple of extra days to take tours of Yellowstone, by moving us to another room. While we had a problem with the room rate when we were moved, they worked to adjust the rate downward for us. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient to downtown Cody. We could walk to restaurants and shops.

No area for eating breakfast. With vaccinated Americans breakfast should be serve hot (American typical breakfast of stambled eggs, fruits, bacon, etc.) Room price is low compared to competing hotels or inn. Location wise to Yellowstone is good with a scenic route. But hotels ground need landscaping. Hotel lobby and counter need a 24 hour front desk not 3pm to 11:00pm.
Inexpensive motel with parking right in front of door. Old and a bit run down but seemed to be clean, hygenic, and well maintained. Room had TV, microwave and fridge. Not an exciting place to stay but if you need a clean, convenient place to sleep, you'll be completely satisfied. Only a block from major chain hotels and downtown area.
Nice and new hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is nicely located. It is easy to reach the highway to Yellowstone, the Rodeo and downtown with the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. A supermarket and a gas station are near by.
The room is very spacious and the pool area is very nice.
The staff, especially the man who checked us in, was excellent. He was friendly and answered our questions about the hotel and the town. The hotel was beautiful and more than I expected for the price. I will definitely stay there again if my travels bring me to the area.
The hotel was clean, nicely decorated, and did offer breakfast options. The only hot breakfast they have is the waffel option. This hotel is in a great location with resturants close by within waling distance. It is also close to atractions in the area.
Staying in the hotel was an experience in itself! The authentic ambience and character was exceptional! We would definitely stay at the Chamberlin Inn if in Cody again. Breakfast was good and the proximity to town made such a short stay very convenient.
Good breakfast and breakfast area. Clean rooms, with plenty of room for 4 people. Driving distance from the Yellowstone National Park. Short driving distance from the Cody village center shops, stores, historical sites.
Great historic hotel in central Cody with lots of character, friendly staff and good parking. Walkable to all bars, restaurants and within 10-minute walk of the Bill Cody museum.
Lovely staff who helped us with changing rooms to something that suited us better
nice coffee on the house
Clean room, good wi fi, good facilities
well located within Cody
Location was great and the staff were really nice. There appears to be a hotel and then a separate area that is more motel like, we stayed in the motel which was not as nice.
Large room with desk and a sitting area. Outside access with vehicle at your front door. Comfortable night’s sleep. Less expensive than several other hotels in town.
The price was low compared to other hotels in Cody. Breakfast included, although mainly items from the super market packed in plastic. Room was ok for one night.
It’s a cozy hotel near to the centre of the city and the main Museum. Continental breakfast is offered and you can park on the premises of the hotel complex.
