The property is beautiful, but it appears the facility is not then completely finished. I don’t know if they ran out of funding or what happened, but there are rooms and floors unfinished photos of a fitness center and spa that do not exist.

Convenient parking and excellent check-in experience! Lobby area was spacious, clean, bright and welcoming! Clerk made immediate changes to my original online reservation to accommodate my 84 year old mom who had joined me. Beds were exceptionally comfortable for good nights' rest. We enjoyed their delicious onsite breakfast and kindness from their staff working. Hotel also offers complimentary coffee, tea, soda 24/7. Would definitely stay again!

Nice area with beautiful views of the bluffs and of the Mississippi river and so much to offer from stores, such as grocery, and convenience stores, gas stations, fast food and sit down restaurants and every type in between. It is a must do as far as where to travel and where to stop in when passing by or passing through it is definitely a must and so worth going out of your way to swoop in just to experience the City!!

We visited the Shrine and that was well worth seeing.
We visited the Shrine and that was well worth seeing. You could spend at least a half day if not more on the beautiful grounds. Downtown was a mess with construction, so we did not walk through or purchase anything from businesses.

Always love driving to La Crosse.
Always love driving to La Crosse. We're from Neenah and it's about a 3 hour drive. This recent visit, we came to tour the WWII ship, the USS LST-325 . We also saw the American Countess River Boat and the Viking Cruise ship that was docked for the day. The River Walk is one of the gems of the area. Beautiful scenery, many bars/restaurants and so much to see and do. Breathtaking in the Fall!

A great small town to walk around in.
A great small town to walk around in. Lots of places-art galleries, clothing stores, and antique stores to stop and look around in. Plenty of good places to eat and the people were very friendly. Liked that they had a minor league baseball team in town to see a game. They even had an Irish festival the weekend i was there. Lots of nature trails and there was a bluff 400 feet high where you could see the town town and vicinity from below. Above all. it felt very safe.

Many of amenities were poor or not there. No pool/ hot tub or hair dryer. TV only has 2 clear station and all others signal weak or not available. No information folder in room. Should not advertise a pool if it hasn’t worked since November. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would not stay here again ir recommend it!

The world's largest six-pack is faded but still exists a short walk from Gundersen Hotel & Suites. Downtown area appears to be undergoing yet another revitalization. Many pubs to explore in this walkable city.
Lacrosse is a lovely city, well worth visiting. It has a lovely river front park along the Mississippi, and lots of trails for biking and walking. It is a college town, so it's many restaurants and bars tend to be seasonal. There are many hotels. This one provided good value for us as we want clean and comfortable, not high end luxury.
The location is nice just after you exit from I90 you reach the hotel. Lot of Parking spot available. Breakfast was decent nothing extraordinary. The hotel is value for money. If you traveling for short business trip you may opt for this one. A subway is very near to the hotel just 2-3 mins walking.
The location of this hotel is fantastic as it's easy walking distance to restaurants, parks, and bars in downtown La Crosse. The saltwater pool is warm and relaxing, and the room we stayed in for 3 days easily stands as one of the more comfortable and clean I've ever stayed in.
Nice selection of food choices. Above the usual hotel choices. There were gluten free items which i I appreciate and protein items and a nice selection of fruits. Only negative was no herbal or caffeine free tea.
The staff at the front desk were excellent in helping us with diverse matters. The room, upgraded to a room with a view of the river, was nice. The location was very, very good for exploring La Crosse.
Big comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen area, a very top level breakfast provided. Also walking distance from downtown and riverfront areas. Lower price than any other comparable hotels in the area.
The hotel was only 1 block from the Mississippi River and from a park. It was walking distance from downtown so that was convenient also. Very nice restaurants were all within walking distance as well.
I love the old school feel of the hotel I would have loved for there to be an elevator to take our stuff upstairs but the stairs were nice looking. The pool was huge and the kids had a blast there.
Only stayed for one night after a very very long flight and a very very long drive to this hotel, we didnt experience any bar/food as we were both tired, would definately visit again here.
Great central location and free parking. The hotel car park was full when we arrived but there is a large multi storey next door which is free. Was nice to have a hot breakfast included.
