Quite and empty motel.
Nice large bed.
The shower stall was spacious and the power-washer pressure was a nice massage.
Located just 2 minutes’ drive from the Canaan Valley Ski Slopes and Timberline Ski Resort, several shops and restaurants are within a short 5 minutes' walk. Free WiFi access is offered.

The informality and relaxed family atmosphere. Additionally, the secluded location allowed for a more intimate experience. The Waybright family was not only very cordial but also provided plenty of flexibility with meal planning to allow other activities, plus we thoroughly enjoyed spending time talking to them.

We loved the location, tranquility and one level living. The cabin was very roomy for our sisters vacation. We especially enjoyed the swing and the deck.
With free Wifi, this 2-bedroom vacation home features a flat-screen TV and a kitchen with an oven and microwave. Towels and bed linen are offered in the vacation home.
Davis is a wonderful weekend town. If you're here in the early week, you may have issues finding places that are open. The location is great - near walking and hiking trails, ski areas, kayaking, and other outdoor activities.

Came for the inaugural Moonlight on the Falls Marathon in Blackwater Falls State Park. Davis and nearby Thomas are quite small, mountain communities with a nice "boutique" feel to their shops and restaurants. No big chain restaurants or fast-food; instead, locally-owned specialty shops and restaurants made for interesting walks through these 2 towns. Davis and Thomas are both close to the park which has some gorgeous overlooks, trails, camping and cabins. Taking leisurely drives around the area's mountain roads was a joy, as well as visiting a few historical sites such as the Fairfax Stone site (headsprings of the Potomac river). Great area to get away from all the trappings of big cities!

Davis had a LOT to experience and do and visit. We not only did the Sky Ride up the Lifts but also Horseback Riding up the street from the Resort as well as travel a few minutes to Blackwater Falls. Davis offers so much and it's such a beautiful area to visit. Just wish we could've stayed longer.

Davis is a small old town that offers a look into the past of a rural coal mining town. It is in the process of remodeling many older home and offers many shopping experiences for visitors. My wife and I look forward to a future visit.

I come to Davis at least twice a year and always enjoy the outdoor opportunities and friendly atmosphere. The downtown area reminds me of a simpler time and I enjoy the unique eateries and shops. Dolly Sod and Blackwater Falls are two of my favorite wilderness areas to visit and hangout. I've used Davis to launch out to other areas such as Spruce Knob, Seneca Rocks, Tygart Lake, etc. which are not far away.

Our trip began on 20th of September.
Our trip began on 20th of September. Just before leaf peepers, but all very much enjoyed. Just before the rush of fall color, some stores only open on weekend. Quite the variety and charm of a small town! Restaurants as well, some only on weekend or certain days. None the less we enjoyed the friendly people and laid back atmosphere.
''when I booked we were given the lodge. But a couplie of weeks later it was cancelled because lodge & restaurant were still being renovated. Then I rebooked in a cabin. I brought some food but was disappointed that there is no restaurants around to go to for meals. The one I went to for breakfast only had one waitress and one cook for breakfast shift and they closed at 7pm So we did not go back for dinner
We visited during the winter and the place was super clean, warm and quiet. The wifi was strong - two of us were able to stream videos and video chat at the same time. The location was great - it was close to downtown Davis (probably walking distance, but we drove) and less than 20 minutes from Timberline. My daughter and I really enjoyed our simple stay here.
The location was perfect for what we were visiting Davis, West Virginia for. My kids (& myself) loved the putt-putt course right in front of the Inn. Our room was clean, and just what the pictures displayed. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating, and even allowed us to check in early!
We enjoyed our one night at the hotel. We wish we could have stayed longer. The layout of the resort was perfect for virtually any outdoor activity--hiking, swimming, biking, golf etc. We thought we got good value from the hotel and the related services. We will return again.
Must have been one of the worst hotels in my life. Dirty, broken beds, mold in the shower. Dirty carpets. and also unfriendly staff. When we asked where the entrance to the famous Blackwater Trail was, we were told: I have no idea. Have no time
Close toCanaan Resort, Timberline, Blackwater Falls, and Davis.
This was quiet and quaintPerfect for our couple getaway!!Perfect room! Really comfortable bed!! Access to movies! Great shower!!
