We had a wonderful stay at the Mt. Gardner Inn. The hosts were attentive, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The inn is within easy walking distance to the restaurants and shops in Winthrop. We would stay here again!

The best thing in Twisp is the Cinnamon Twisp Bakery, in my opinion. I would stop there every day. Plus, there is a great organic grocery and mercantile store in Twisp now - Glover Street ? Twisp is also a lovely town in the Methow Valley and it is only about 15 minutes away from Winthrop and 30 minutes from Loup Loup pass and both downhill and cross-country skiing.

We liked all of the extra touches that were added to the room to make it comfortable. The balcony is screened in, even under the deck itself, so you can enjoy the view without the bugs. There are screened in tents down at the River so you can stay bug free there too. Within the room there are extra personal touches such as several pairs of reading glasses, multiple mini flashlights, sleeping masks, ear plugs, and super comfy bathrobes and slippers, just in case you need them.

We were on a family trip with kids from elementary to high school aged. We were outdoor focused for adventure. We had a great time hiking, whitewater rafting and mountain biking. In addition, there is a great little grocer in Twisp that sells flavored balsamic and olive oils. Most restaurants close about 8pm, so be prepared to make your own dinners if you get off the trails later in the day.

Twisp Is a small town on the North Cascades Scenic Highway. The town has a surprising number of art galleries. Restaurants are limited, but another town with more restaurants is only a few miles away. Twisp River Suites makes staying in this town a great choice.

The downtown is charming.
The downtown is charming. Many businesses were closed, including nearly all of Twispworks(art studios and a cidery.. But we did find one artist in her studio, and we had a great chat. The bakery, Cinnamon Twisp, was fabulous. We lucked out on weather too. IT rained the night of the day we arrived, and then was sunny the rest of our visit. It snowed the morning after we left.

A quiet town.
A quiet town. We walked 200+ steps, (per Joe) to the Saturday market. What fun! We bought fresh fruit, a birdhouse made from a cowboy boot, pickles and pickled asparagus.
I hated to leave this snuggled in town by the mountains, there was something special in the air that is hard to describe.
I love that feeling of rest.
Everything about it was comfortable. Little extras like flashlights and reading glasses made you feel that the host had anticipated every possible need. Located along the gently flowing Twisp River (appropriate name for the hotel) there was a private balcony with a swing and chairs and a screen to keep all bugs outside. But the relaxing sound of the babbling river was the best thing about the balcony. Tempted to sleep out there. And then there is Joe, the owner. Nicest, most considerate man you'd hope to meet.
I'll start with the fact that we Twisp River Suites made my trip an annual one and we booked w Twisp River Suites for next year before we left. Add'l I got home and have booked another trip there in Sept and will be booking 2 more trips there over the next few months. What Jo has built here is really special and wonderful! If you want to be well cared for, in the beauty of Eastern Washington- this is your place. You will NOT only LOVE it, but you'll be booking your next trips before you leave too.
The property owns were so very helpful and they thought of so many wonderful little touches to make our stay so comfortable. Our room was a dog friendly room with a BBQ, outdoor patio with a doggy door, access to a full kitchen, a porch swing, and special coffee roasted in Twisp. They even have a dog washing place. Breakfast which was delicious was delivered to our room because of Covid but the main lobby where breakfast usually is looked so warm and inviting with a deck overlooking a river.
The location was just a few blocks outside of Twisp downtown. It had a hot tub on the property (in a separate small building) which was clean and working. Room (132) had a kitchenette with basic supplies (but no olive oil/salt/pepper, etc). But it was stocked with a pot, pan, several bowls and plates, silverware. Check in was easy with a text with code to the door and Wifi password. The beds were comfortable.
Adored Joe, Donna and Deb. Beautiful location. Fantastic breakfasts and lovely people. I hope we can return some day. Cannot recommend Twisp Suites more highly.
Local restaurants and bars were welcoming, with great food. So many artisans from bakeries, to iron and leatherworks, to candles, pottery and much more ...a really pleasure
Convenient for a one-night stay in Twisp. Just what you expect (or at least hope for) in a roadside motel—basic but very clean, a few amenities (fridge and microwave, coffeemaker, TV, lots of towels, etc), and everything worked (very grateful for effective air conditioning in the 95 degree heat!). Great water pressure in shower.
Staff professional but more importantly always friendly and nice. The bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast. Perfect location for the northern cascades or just to visit the area of Twisp and Winthrop.
The sheets and towels were clean, and the mattress fairly comfortable. The location is great, and there's a huge grass lawn behind the cabins that is great for people traveling with dogs.
The location of the hotel on the river is wonderful and the room was very nice. The provided breakfast was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and nice.
