Spent a lovely weekend here with my son. The home is charming and the owners, Holgar and Rose, are warm, welcoming and helpful. Always available and always responsive. The breakfast is phenomenal, too! Looking forward to coming back.

Vicky was great she was very attentive and hospitable to us . The breakfast was great, a farm to table expericne that included fresh baked bread, pastries and local roasted coffee.
Located in Londonderry, 14 miles from Stratton Mountain, The Upper Pass Lodge has accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge.
Within 19 mi of 4 different ski resorts, this Londonderry motel is set in Vermont, off Route 11, just 6.2 mi from Green Mountain National Forest. WiFi is provided free of charge.
Paper thin walls. Can hear EVERY noise from outside and neighboring units. Next to highway. Pictures not accurate. Management company no help with issues and lost items. Close to slopes. Incredibly overpriced.

The town of Ludlow, Routes 100 and 103, is centrally located in Vermont with easy access to all roads. Scenic Route 100 runs through Ludlow. The restaurants were great, especially The Hatchery for breakfast and DJ's for dinner. The shopping area was small. Avoid Route 131 off the east side of town off Route 103, it starts out as a good two lane road and turns into a treacherous dirt/gravel road through the mountains.

Do not go to a lake house in the Ludlow area in summer of 2023 after the flooding. - the lakes are filled with silt and you cannot use them. Likewise the well water is not safe to drink. I have been there in the past and it is lovely, mountains, hiking, lakes, theater, etc, but it was a mistake this year.

Ludlow has an exceptional hometown diner.
Ludlow has an exceptional hometown diner. It has a delicious wood-fired oven for pizza and an excellent Taco place. For a small community, it has lovely food choices. And, the location, close to Woodstock, Weston and other places make it a wise choice. Quiet and comfortable little hamlet with very friendly people.

Skiing Okemo is always great and Ludlow is close to several other major ski areas as well, but there is little of interest outside of skiing. The area is beautiful, especially as seen from the mountain top, but not as precious from the ground level. Best accommodations are at the ski area, dining options are few, but there are convenient facilities for groceries, fuel, coffee.
On the down side, they do have a train that goes through quite noisily blasting air horns around midnight.

Ludlow has a number of restaurants within walking distance downtown. Best meal was Sam's Steak House - get there for their earlybird and enjoy a really nice soup and salad bar included with your meal. Neals was nice for a drink, but food was meh. Country Girl diner south on Route 103 by about 20 minutes was excellent - try their homemade corned beef hash if it is on special. And Restaurant at DeLight has fantastic cinnamon raisin french toast and nice pancakes. Pot Belly Restaurant is a throwback to 1980 - food was okay, Take a ride on the train out of Chester up to Ludlow and back - neat old train cars and engines. The deli across from the Chester train station makes excellent sandwiches and has homemade cookies for sale! Route 113 was Ludlow south was beautiful, including a great covered bridge! Take in views from Okemo mountain - and hike a bit. Woodstock is the classic shopping destination. We could have stayed in the area another night and explored more.
We were fortunate to get an upgrade to our double room to a suite which was very nice - the hotel is friendly and the suites are very well appointed with every convenience. The only problem we encountered was with their wifi access (non-existent in our room. They apologised for this and informed us that a fault was awaiting repair - there is however, free internet access on a computer located in the reception area.
Everything is according to the price. Do not expect newly remodeled rooms and super comfy beds for the price they charge. There is always a balance between quality and price and this hotel right on spot. Could it be better- sure but its not going to be at this price point. If someone is looking for perfection- look somewhere else and be ready to pay much more.
Our 2nd time here......we liked everything, the girl at the front desk was awesome, she upgraded our room for a small charge plus got a parking garage pass.....our room was very nice with a kitchen, queen bed and couch, tv, fireplace and large bathroom and they serve a great breakfast and the bar/lobby area is a great place to hang out.
Very modern amenities and we’ll set up, especially for a motel in the middle of town. Hosts (who own the property opposite also - Homestyle Hotel & Restaurant - were super fast to respond to any questions. The bar downstairs has a wonderful pair of mixologists and the cocktails are excellent!
A beautifully preserved historic home in the heart of Ludlow in gorgeous Vermont. The inn is spotless and adorned with tasteful decor. Delicious (and copious) homemade breakfasts served in a warm setting made even warmer by its gracious hosts.
Ludlow's Gem was exactly what I was looking for, clean, quiet and comfortable. It was close to town and Okemo Ski Resort. In additon, the wood stove was so nice to have.
