The breakfast was well-prepared and presented. I liked that the order was taken the night before, so everything flowed more smoothly. There was enough variety to satisfy both my wife and I. It was nice to have choices about time, too. The staff members were very friendly.

Stay In Ohiopyle - closest place to the GAP trail in Ohiopyle, PA offers accommodations in Farmington, 4.1 miles from Fallingwater and 22 miles from Seven Springs Mountain Resort.
The chain restaurants in the area were very bad. I wish I went to more local spots but they weren't as easy to get to with kids.
Frank Loyd Wright houses in the area are great and totally worth checking out. Fort Necessity is pretty cool to see. I definitely recommend watching the video at the visitor center as the fort isn't that thrilling without context.
Hiking in the area is great and there are plenty of cool trails all around.

Two major problems.
Two major problems.
When I first got there, the room rate was correct but I was informed that I had to pay a $200 security deposit. Nowhere was this ever mentioned prior to my checkin nor was there any indication of this on their website. Since it was too late to cancel, I had no choice but to accept this.
The inside lock on the door to my room was no working. Didn't line up. Reported it in the morning but not sure if the person at the desk ever reported it or not. He was getting breakfast.

It was a nice small town with historic buildings downtown and activities surrounding it like state parks and Fallingwater (FLW house). We ate at O’Gillies Bar &Grill. A little out of the way, but great food.

The annual pilgrimage at Mount Saint Macrina is always a great experience. Everybody who comes once always comes back. More volunteers are needed to help the nuns prepare for this annual event and they have a nice Super 8 to stay at!

Selection of places to eat is nice & minutes away from where you stay. Shopping is the same all within minutes of hotel Take a drive through the mountain & see all the attractions. You will enjoy a peaceful & fun time in the beautiful mountain area.
Getting around is fairly easy. Just avoid toll roads when possible. Food & service at Texas Roadhouse were both very good. Recommend going If you stay at the Hampton Inn you walk next door. Recommend staying at Hampton also.
Breakfast and maintenance staff were really pleasant, informative and professional and took really good care of us. They really cared that we were there. Breakfast was well done and presented. The rooms and corridors were well maintained and clean. The location was also good for visits into the Allegheny Mountains, Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater, Ohiopyle, Morgantown, The Summit Inn and Pittsburgh. It was suggested to us that Meloni's Restaurant in Uniontown was a long time favorite and it sure was. We ate there on 3 nights.
The location of our room was fantastic as it was hidden from the road but we got a great view of the lake. My girlfriend and now fiance got engaged just a few miles down on the way down the mountain at the watering trough of fayette county! This was a very special trip for us as the lodge at chalk hill was the first hotel we ever stayed at as a couple 4 1/2 years ago, and I just had bring her back for the beautiful scenery and beautiful rooms!
The location of the hotel was within easy distance to many shops and places to eat. We were about 35 minutes from WVU for graduation. The breakfast was the usual fair. Hot and cold selections. The breakfast lady was keeping things neat and stocked.
The bed was very comfortable, sheets soft. Bathroom was good amount of space - loved the mirror with the backlight. Towels were okay.
When it comes to cheap motel rooms, only one thing really matters: the room was exceptionally clean. When I got there the young man who checked me in was in the middle of doing more renovations. Very positive look for the new ownership. No cut corners. I will be returning in the future.
Understaffed, had to change rooms due to uncleaniness, the smoke/fire alarm was duct taped to remove the sensors on the ceiling (very unsafe and illegal). Lots of marijuna (pot) smell throughout the hotel. I stay here every year multiple times. The hotel is diminishing by the year.
The room was neat and tidy, with a fridge, microwave and drip-filter coffee machine. It's close to a beautiful residential area just behind the motel and the characterful older historical part of town. You can park your car right outside your room for easy loading and unloading.
The in room Jacuzzi was awesome nice to have a real jacuzzi.. Hotel and room appearance was good. Great location to Dining. Staff was very pleasant to our needs. Pleanty of Parking. Check in and out was a breeze. Breakfast was prompt and a typical selection for Super 8.
The lady at the breakfast area in the morning was extremely helpful, friendly and a great asset to your staff. We were there on Thursday morning August 5. Also our room was very large and spacious.
The pool area was very nice!! I thought it was cool how it was in a courtyard. Wish we got to see what more it offered. We didn’t spend much time at the hotel. The staff was very friendly.
