The house is really good. A lot of sleeping places. Also some stuff for kids like Pringles chips, popcorn- that’s really great. But the things we didn’t like- cleanliness. The floor was sticky and our shoes stuck to the floor. Also the location. We didn’t like the location. House is located just opposite the roadway. Very close to the road. But the host is really nice. She answered all my questions before the stay.

The vibe was amazing.. very clean great location.. very accommodating
Beautiful town. Great shops and eateries. I loved the architecture of a lot of the old structures, business and residential. Routes 209, business 209, and 611 get you anywhere you need to go. 209 north to areas like Bushkill and 611 to typical shopping areas; Target, TJ Max, Outlet Mall. A lot of interesting places in both directions. Next visit we will spend time along the Business 209 route as we saw a lot, but due to our short stay couldn’t investigate. Candle and candy places and numerous eateries. Don’t just run 209/80 bypassing that area of town.

There is a great local bookstore in town.
There is a great local bookstore in town. I also love Ceder's for food. There is a local game store if you like board games. Also, it's an easy drive to the Delaware Water Gap recreation area if you want to do some hiking.
Absolutely nothing. It was a disaster. -At over $100/night, it was a drastically overpriced, filthy, trashy room. (Even if it were a $50/night room, I would at least expect clean linens and towels.) We had been traveling all day. We were too tired, and it was too late at night to find another hotel. I have been in the military and I have spent time in 3rd world countries. I am, by no means, a finicky person nor am I the least bit germaphobic. But at this place, we slept fully clothed and above the covers.
This was the perfect hotel for stopping on my drive to the airport, and the bath was super nice after a long day of driving! The breakfast was very nice, and traditional, with a few extras— including spinach souffle. I didn't use the other facilities, but everything looked super nice, and the hotel is very clean. If you're traveling, this is a good location with lots of places nearby, including Target up the road 1 mile.
I liked the heated pool and the bar with pool table. The owner and staff was very friendly. They also have a Tiki bar by the poolside but unfortunately it wasn't open at the time we were staying. The hotel is located 10 minutes from Main street where local businesses, shops, restaurants and bars are. They have a huge parking lot and there is plenty of space for parties inside the hotel.
I grew up in Stroudsburg and remember the Penn Stroud from the old days. This is an excellent renovation and update. Friendly, professional staff; spacious comfortable room and bed; quiet and pleasant overall. Also easy access to stairs to avoid waiting for elevator. Convenience of being downtown but still quiet. Fast WiFi.
My brother and I were there for a family funeral. The staff was great, and the accommodations were very nice. Plus, the breakfast was excellent. I spotted one of the kitchen workers and told him how pleased we were. I've traveled much of the world, so I know quality when I see it. This hotel deserves praise.
I didn't get the chance to like it. When we got to the hotel, they did not have our reservation. The woman said we should not go on booking.com or any 3 party sites to make hotel reservations because the reservation is not quaranteed. How can this be? We were left stranded.
The staff was absolutely fantastic, everyone made sure we were taken care of. The breakfast was really good as well. The people who run the hotel would bring around extra food to see if we wanted any and also made us smoothies both mornings.
Lovely renovated hotel, rooms were gigantic. Helpful and friendly staff, especially the lady who worked the breakfast was definitely the good soul of the hotel. Decent continental breakfast, loved the different flavored creamers (Snickers!)
I liked NOTHING ABOUT THIS FILTHY HOTEL. the only thing I appreciated was that the woman at the front desk refunded our money for the second night stay because we left and had to book another hotel due to the filth.
We stumbled on this gem! Just looking up hotels in the area as we were getting ready to stop for the day. Wonderful staff, lovely pool and excellent breakfast!
