Breakfast was very good. The food at dinner could have been better. Chicken was dry and fish dish was not too appetizing- way too much cheese which upset husband’s stomach.

Cozy 2 Bedroom Apt, hotel in Scranton

Cozy 2 Bedroom Apt offers accommodations in Scranton, 7.2 miles from Montage Mountain Ski Resort. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and University of Scranton is 2.2 miles away.

Loved the location: in residential/commercial neighborhood, so convenient for eating options and for just walking around. Very spacious apartment, easy street parking close to door, good wifi. close to railriders baseball stadium. Host very accommodating to relatively last minute changes, much more reasonable to deal with than booking.com which didn't want to honor their own time frame for changes.

Scranton was a great place to visit.

Scranton was a great place to visit. Our stay was going well until the evening before our last day my 8 year old nephew was called a racist word by some young white men standing in the hallway of our hotel. He turned the corner of the hallway ahead of us headed to our room and when he turned the corner someone from the group looked at him and said "It's only a ni××××". They may have assumed he was alone. My nephew has never experienced anything like that before and it was upsetting.

We are only on a road-trip overnighter this time but on a previous trip to Scranton I came primarily for the railroad and coal history in the area. Beyond my limited interests, I can't say it's much of a tourist destination (other than for fans of "The Office " TV show). However, it could be considered as a steppingstone to the Poconos mountains area.

Some fascinating historic sites: Steamtown. We drove around and looked at the Art-Deco buildings. Very interesting city. We bought frozen dinners for our meal but there are many restaurants in the city. We were very happy to stay over in Scranton.

Lived there prior. We were in town for a family funeral. Scranton is a good place to be from. Not entirely sure, if all would see it in the same light as we do. However, from a historical perspective, the reflections of the railroad and mining industry still present possibly offers some interesting insight and information.

Visited for a tour of 'The Office' landmarks and mentions.

Visited for a tour of 'The Office' landmarks and mentions. Very cool city with lots of interesting and historic architecture. Interesting Steam locomotive museum in town. The Glider Diner has an excellent breakfast for a bargain and Coopers seafood is an awesome spot for supper with tons of memorabilia and an extreme selection of beer available. The streets in town are poorly labeled and riddled with potholes but otherwise navigation was pretty straightforward.

The pool is actually OPEN! And they have food available! We are on a 9 day trip across the US for a job relocation with two kids and a dog and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in along the way. Every other hotel had little to no services available despite still charging the same rates and no food in sight. This Hilton surpassed them all by having every amenity available and an on site restaurant that was actually open! If we ever come back to Scranton we would definitely stay here again.

This is a wonderful hotel. Steeped in history, a friendly welcome and conveniently located for exploring Scranton. We arrived by bus and it was a 10 minute walk from the station. Easy to access, warm and generous facilities. The hotel bar is GREAT! With comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and dinner options and the best hospitality I have ever experienced in a hotel bar, I can't recommend staying here enough.

The hotel is in a lovely spot, up in the hills. It was really clean and cared for, the lobby just shone. It was very welcoming, and close to restaurants and shops in Scranton. Our rooms were spacious and clean. We stayed in several hotels over our ten-day trip and we all thought this one was the nicest. They even gave us a little free bag of snacks and bottled water when we arrived.

A full breakfast both days including waffles which delighted my granddaughters. Breakfast on Saturday was excellent. Sunday all good except sausage. We were all treated with warmth and kindness including my therapy dog. Because the staff were all so helpful and kind, room and rest of facility was very clean and well lit we will stay at this Hampton Inn again without hesitation.

We stayed one night on our way north. The hotel is easy to locate next to I81. The room is a nice size with desk and couch. It had a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom has 2 sinks, one on the outside of the bathroom and the other in the bathroom. Could be usefull but we didn't use the outside one. The shower had good pressure. The bed was very comfortable.

Free and comfortable parking, the hotel is a piece of art inside and outside and Anthony at the reception is an amazing person who we will never forget!! (Greetings from NL Anthony). The room was super clean, everyone was helpful and we would love to return again.
