Cozy 2 Bedroom Apt offers accommodations in Scranton, 7.2 miles from Montage Mountain Ski Resort. Free Wifi is available throughout the property and University of Scranton is 2.2 miles away.

Loved the location: in residential/commercial neighborhood, so convenient for eating options and for just walking around. Very spacious apartment, easy street parking close to door, good wifi. close to railriders baseball stadium. Host very accommodating to relatively last minute changes, much more reasonable to deal with than booking.com which didn't want to honor their own time frame for changes.

Scranton was a great place to visit.

Scranton was a great place to visit. Our stay was going well until the evening before our last day my 8 year old nephew was called a racist word by some young white men standing in the hallway of our hotel. He turned the corner of the hallway ahead of us headed to our room and when he turned the corner someone from the group looked at him and said "It's only a ni××××". They may have assumed he was alone. My nephew has never experienced anything like that before and it was upsetting.

We are only on a road-trip overnighter this time but on a previous trip to Scranton I came primarily for the railroad and coal history in the area. Beyond my limited interests, I can't say it's much of a tourist destination (other than for fans of "The Office " TV show). However, it could be considered as a steppingstone to the Poconos mountains area.

Some fascinating historic sites: Steamtown. We drove around and looked at the Art-Deco buildings. Very interesting city. We bought frozen dinners for our meal but there are many restaurants in the city. We were very happy to stay over in Scranton.

Lived there prior. We were in town for a family funeral.

Lived there prior. We were in town for a family funeral. Scranton is a good place to be from. Not entirely sure, if all would see it in the same light as we do. However, from a historical perspective, the reflections of the railroad and mining industry still present possibly offers some interesting insight and information.

Visited for a tour of 'The Office' landmarks and mentions.

Visited for a tour of 'The Office' landmarks and mentions. Very cool city with lots of interesting and historic architecture. Interesting Steam locomotive museum in town. The Glider Diner has an excellent breakfast for a bargain and Coopers seafood is an awesome spot for supper with tons of memorabilia and an extreme selection of beer available. The streets in town are poorly labeled and riddled with potholes but otherwise navigation was pretty straightforward.

This is a wonderful hotel. Steeped in history, a friendly welcome and conveniently located for exploring Scranton. We arrived by bus and it was a 10 minute walk from the station. Easy to access, warm and generous facilities. The hotel bar is GREAT! With comfortable and spacious rooms, excellent breakfast and dinner options and the best hospitality I have ever experienced in a hotel bar, I can't recommend staying here enough.

We stayed one night on our way north. The hotel is easy to locate next to I81. The room is a nice size with desk and couch. It had a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom has 2 sinks, one on the outside of the bathroom and the other in the bathroom. Could be usefull but we didn't use the outside one. The shower had good pressure. The bed was very comfortable.

The room itself was very clean. The king size bed was comfortable. The pool was pretty well taken care of. The staff was friendly to is. We enjoyed the breakfast, the man that was in charge of it was very helpful & made sure nothing ran out. Everything was about 10-15 minutes away from the hotel, so it was easy to get around.

The room was SO LARGE!! It had a little sitting room near the door, then there was an archway to the main bedroom, which had TWO Queen Beds and a large TV. I LOVED that room - it was so spacious and there were lots of places to sit (sofa) as well as a desk chair so I could work on my computer.

It's a beautiful, grand hotel, converted from a former railway depot. There are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance, including a mall. Since it is next to Scranton University, the area is very vibrant.
