The quiet neighborhood. The hot tub after a day of skiing. The small kitchenette, we always bring our camp stove, so it was perfect for us.

Wonderful location, beautiful setting, and steeped in history. A place I’ve visited on day trips countless times but finally stayed overnight. Always enjoy seeing FDR’s chair and the other historic displays, plus the amazing craftsmanship of depression-era WPA workers who built the lodge.
Best part was hanging out by the massive, multi-story, super cool three-sided fireplace in the evening after the day crowds departed.
We had trouble finding the place. Probably our faulty GPS.

Big relief when we finally did.
We didn't have time for any of the fun things to do.
Only had time for a welcome dinner, which was tasty, then cleaned up and slept well on comfy beds.

Beautiful house in an excellent location.
Beautiful house in an excellent location. Well stocked with amazing amenities. Everything you could need or want is there. Be aware that only 1 room is on the main floor so you prepared to walk up and down stairs. Also, one of the bedrooms is upstairs and is very hot if the weather is warm. We were unable to use that room and it had a two-person bed and a futon in there so plan accordingly. Everything else is absolutely fabulous.

It's beautiful because, well, it's Oregon, but this particular location wasn't great. Fire ban in place so can't have a fire in fire pit. Far too populated to be a private, cozy getaway. I literally watched the neighbors work in their yard yesterday for a few hours and not very much to do here. If they kept the place up better, it would be more enjoyable to sit outdoors (and indoors, for that matter). And if there were fences for privacy, that would help as well.

Charged my credit card $922 for two nights and said the extra $500 was for “incidentals” and would go back on my account in 7-10 days! This was after I checked out, happen to check my credit card, and called them. What?? Who does that! Be careful. Ask questions because no one will tell you anything. They just take money out of your account and keep it until they decide to return it. If they do...I don’t know yet. Any other place I’ve stayed they put an extra $100-$150 that goes back in your account after you leave. $922??? Really? No heads up. The staff was incredibly rude to me. Said, that’s the way it is and nothing can be done about it now.
I’ll never stay again.

Traveled with three other friends.
Traveled with three other friends. Sleeping accommodations were great for the four of us. Kitchen was easy to use for preparing meals after exploring Mt Hood area during the day. The location was perfect for getting anywhere we wanted to go. The view and quiet made it great for relaxing after a day of hiking. Very comfortable and more than adaquate accommodation.
The hotel was a resort type of hotel. The pool was nice and had plenty of seating. The room we stayed in was BIG and had a fireplace (would be very nice in the winter). Like most hotels these days, they still seemed short staffed and did not offer some services. It would be nice to have towels at the pool and the hot tub could use some maintenance to get the jets working.
The home is in a wonderful location close to everything in Welches. They had plenty of towels and things for your stay. Lots of games and puzzles to play. The kitchen has just about everything you’d need during your stay. The beds were comfortable.
We loved using the hot tub and fire pit during our stay too.
On a road trip with different hotels, this felt like staying in a mini home. We had 2 bedrooms and a pull out sofa which was more than enough room, a fully equipped kitchen and a back deck with a bbq. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub for a couple of hours and just relaxed. Lots of home comforts
The location was ideal for our trip to the Mt Hood area. Fairly close and with the weather forecast, the better choice as the Mountain has heavy snow the second day of our stay. Would have been tough to travel off the Mountain for any reason whatsoever.
We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel. The pamphlet in our hotel room gave great recommendations on where to eat around the resort! The clubhouse let my partner and I leave our belongings in a storage room while we went for a hike!
We were in Welches for a dinner and wine pairing at a local restaurant. The location was great, only 3 minutes away. We booked a room here because of the ratings send they were spot on. Wonderful!
Was expecting a hotel-like suite and discovered we were staying in a one bedroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer. A pleasant surprise.
I like that it is close to all the skiing! The pricing is great, and it’s nice to have a full kitchen and some space to spread out unlike a hotel room.
