The staff was excellent. After checking, in we learnt that the Hotel was haunted. That was a pleasant surprise coz it added some thrill to our stay. Rooms were good and very spacious. Plenty of parking on the streets. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar but we didn’t get to try it.
This Oregon motel is within 1 block of Powder River and downtown Baker City. It serves a daily continental breakfast and offers cable TV with HBO and free Wi-Fi in every room.

Room was very clean and decorated cute only drawback very low old fashioned toilet although I didn’t really need a handicap room was difficult getting up and down on that low toilet
Baker City is a great old western town. People are amazing.
Baker City is a great old western town. People are amazing. Sadly we didn't have enough time to explore Baker City but it looked quaint. If you go, walk the neighourhoods, great classic brick house and well maintain areas.

The location was fine, we could walk to stores and restaurants. The facility is old, needs some help, no hot water in the AM, ( we did have hot water in the PM). No grab handles in the bathroom for our 92 year old father. All in all was fine for asker City I suppose, not worth the price however. The Truck Stop restaurant was a pleasant surprise! Excellent food!

Baker City is a small old western town mainly serving the ranch and agricultural area. It has some charming historical houses and buildings, a cool old hotel, the Geisler Grand and a nice main street with several good restaurants and pubs. Don't miss going to Sweet Wive, a most excellent bakery/cafe.
Also an excellent kitchen supply store and book store, several antique stores and a wine place as well.
There are a couple of museums and it is a jump off place to visit National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center.

This is a great little city!
This is a great little city! The downtown area has lots to do. The parks are beautiful. Recreation areas such as Phillips Lake and hiking trails along the Powder River are close. The Oregon Trail Restaurant has good, basic food and delicious breakfasts.

1. Loved the museum (Baker Heritage Museum) and a docent (Kathy) who talked with us. The information about Chinese laborers and immigration to the area was enlightening (stuff we should have learned in school!) and the Rock, Gem, and Mineral exhibit was absolutely amazing. We are not particularly interested in rocks or gems or minerals and were so surprised and delighted with this exhibit. 2. We went to the Geiser Grand Hotel and had a "grand", not cheap but reasonably priced, meal. Very pleased with our dinner and service at the restaurant in this historical hotel. 3. For people interested in US history, go to the Chinese Cemetery...it is free and informative. 4. The people in Baker City are genuinely nice people who help make any stay worthwhile.

Breakfast was better than expected!
Breakfast was better than expected! Bathrooms definitely need an update. Heavy smell of chlorox as we entered. Felt was overpriced by at least $10. The beds were neither comfortable nor uncomfortable, but didn't provide the much needed sleep we needed.
It is a cute little house, with a large kitchen & large bathroom. The backyard was also quite large with a BBQ that looked brand new (we didn't use it). House was very clean on arrival. There were nice toiletries in the bathroom, utensils in the kitchen, etc. You can tell that the owners are very concerned with comfort and cleanliness.
This was our first time staying at a rental and weren't sure of what to expect. We were very happy with our stay. If we need to come back to Baker City, I would stay here again!
This was the absolut surprise on our trip through Oregon…
Hotel and staff just wonderful but the restaurant was exceeding everything 👍
Amazing food presented by an extraordinary chef cook. Best steak we ever had ( in years!!) and a homemade Bolognese with fresh herbs … original Italian.
Service was outstanding, the waitress was the friendliest person and very dedicated to her job.
Hopefully everyone gets the chance to stop by and meet this wonderful place to be and to meet and talk to the chef 😊
Were to start!!! Easy to locate. Was extremely close to Safeway's, Dollar Tree stores. and food establishments. Was 3 blokes from my destination in the morning. Had a wonderful experience with host. easy payment and the door had a code to unlock door. great price for the whole house. The house had all the basic things needed for a stay. My Mom and I come to Baker City at least twice a year for our Masonic group. This is so my first pick of places to stay is it's possible from now on!
This is a great older/vintage property that has been well maintained.
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights with a day between stays as we rode our bicycles on the grande tour bike route between Baker City and LaGrande. Returning early in the day for our second night, they were quite helpful in letting us occupy the rooms way ahead of normal check in hours. We had a nice clean and comfortable stay during our adventure.
Would book and stay at this property again 👍👍👍
It's great to find a "classic' motel that's being updated and well taken care of. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly, and complimentary breakfast was a step up from many we've experienced - had plenty of choices including scrambled eggs. hard boiled eggs, bacon, bagels, fruit and much more. Just off downtown Baker City so it was easy to walk to dinner.
This is the best place to stay in Baker City. It's a modest and older motor inn, but clean, cozy, inexpensive, and right next to historic downtown. Staff are very helpful and great hosts. The continental+ breakfast provided is better than the big chain hotels. I especially like the very large fenced in area behind the motel for your dog.
Baker City Oregon is really beautiful. Hard to find a bad neighborhood in this town. My wife and i look forward to this trip every year and enjoy shopping, eating and taking advantage of all the local businesses as well as the natural beauty here.
Friendly, safe, quiet, this was a perfect stop over for us in Baker City during our trip. We had a truck bed of equipment and were assured that we could sleep without worrying about anyone bothering it. It was a great place to stay.
This facility was ok for Baker City, the location was fine, we were having a small Family gathering for our 92 year old father. The PM receptionist was great, very helpful and knowledgeable, helped us with the TV.
Absolutely delighted. Great location for Baker City. Staff could not have been more helpful/encouraging. Really good value. We paid almost 4 times as much for a room in Boise and this was by far better value.
Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. This hotel is a great value for the money. The location was great for what I needed. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. I will definitely stay here again.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. For an old hotel, the room was clean. LOVED opening the back window to look at the Powder River. The location is very convenient for exploring the area.
The history of the building and the downtown Main Street of Baker City was amazing! The amount of work put into the restoration of the building was great as well.
