Most people will stick to the shopping malls and the outskirts but you definitely need to go to the downtown area view the incredibly beautiful mansions of the streets and the centers and see the industrial colonial area by the river. There's also quite nice restaurants that are not chains or overpriced nonesense. It's small, but cute. Lots of cool antiques too

Have nothing bad to say.
Have nothing bad to say. Would have liked to stay longer, but one night was all we could afford. Just shopping for xmas. Could get hotels at a cheaper rate, but we have absolute confidence in the Hampton Inn chain for cleanliness, and nice hot breakfast.

Plattsburgh was great as a stop on our way to Lake George. Our 2 night stay was more than enough to explore the town, hike around "Point Au Roche" trails and take a day trip to Ausable Chasm. There is also a beach but we didn't have time for that although we did see that the beach area was nice.

Hot breakfast items were not hot, just warm.
Hot breakfast items were not hot, just warm. The coffee was only available at breakfast and should be offered from breakfast until mid-night. The coffee was not Green Mountain which was a disappointment. Great that it is close to good restaurants and mall with easy access ..

The place we stayed at Americas best value in was very disappointing the room we booked the shower didn’t work then they gave me and my husband another room and the ceiling was falling apart and are door was hard to close…. We went out to eat one day and come back to experience are door was wide open even though we made sure the door was closed before we left… I would never recommend this place to anyone

The purpose of our trip was to rest before we continued our way to South Jersey. However, we DO love this area and wished we have stayed a bit longer. Plattsburgh is the last big city before entering Canada to the north. It is a city located near Lake Champlain. We recommend this area for anyone who is seeking tranquility.
The overall, location was ideal. It was close to the mountains and the lakes as well as the center city of Plattsburgh. The hotel itself was rather big and offered the named amenities of the pool and spa. If you have children there was also a gaming room with a variety of options and a bar that was not opened. There was also breakfast provided as well. Plenty of parking is available for your guests. There was a lot of food options right outside the hotel as well as a brewery.
The owner of the hotel ask us if we prefer upper or lower rooms. He said the view was better up stairs and he was right. The hotel was close to parks that we visited, quiet place and felt like home. The view from the hotel was very nice.Could see the Vermont and New York Mountain ranges from the beach. We visited in the offseason for swimming so we didn't plan on swimming there. But it was clean beach.
Location was just off the highway. Very clean. My IHG points were applied. Room very clean and comfortable. We took note of how attentive the lovely lady who worked providing breakfast was. She maintained the food supply and also kept the tables clean! We have been in hotels that have breakfast areas and not all attendants do this. She was also pleasant. We were there 07/25-07/26.
We really enjoyed our stay! Hesitated coming here because of the reviews but happy we decided to give it a try :) kids really liked the pool, staff super friendly and helpful, size of the room was surprisingly big, everything functional (fridge, tv, ac ect), the breakfast was great and the beds comfortable, the location is also excellent.
*hotel is accessible to everything
*free breakfast, satisfied with their variety of food. You can actually sit down and enjoy your breakfast not like the other hotel where they just put it in a brown paper bag.
* the receptionist Jonathan was very nice and professional
* all the amenities are inside ( fridge, microwave etc)
It's very remote so you need to like this kind of place but it was fantastic and you're actually downtown Klatsburg in about ten minute drive so it's not really that remote. It's beautiful, quaint Lenny's definitely not your typical hotel.
It was a nice, clean room. All of the staff I encountered were wonderful. I appreciate having a decent hotel that I can travel with my dog to. It was close to many food options. It was fairly quiet.
I thought the location was good. Especially since I am allergic to feathers and all of the pillows in the hotel were down . I had to go down the street to Walmart and buy pillows.
