We came to visit family and to explore Bandelier National Monument and the Valles Caldera National Monument. Beautiful outdoor experiences. A lot of history in the area. Inexpensive downhill skiing/snowboarding and free x-country skiing/snowshoeing. Very safe town. Free public transportation. Visit the Bradbury Science Museum.

A GREAT spot for a day or two, but not a lot to do after you visit the visitor center and museums - which takes about a day. A few drives around the area (White Rock, Espanola, Taos, even Santa Fe), but not a lot happening in/around Los Alamos proper.

We stayed there because there were no vacancies in Jemez...
We stayed there because there were no vacancies in Jemez Springs. Location is good - close to Bandalier, Valles de Caldera. The town of Los Alamos was completely rolled up on the Saturday night we were there. NOTHING AT ALL open except for 2 breweries. No restaurants, bars, etc. And the one restaurant we went to was toxic. Never again.
I would say I mostly liked everything about this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the laundry facility was good. The continental breakfast was also good and offered a decent variety of things. The hotel is not exactly in Los Alamos but is in White Rock, which is nearby. It is located near the White Rock Visitors Center and is fairly close to Bandelier National Monument.
Location was great. We came to this location for Bandelier. It was a quick drive to there and Los Alamosa. The breakfast was nice. It was wonderful to see a change in what was offered from day to day. Helps keep it from getting boring. Also, having access to movies that didn't have commercials in them was the best part considering the town closes down before we were ready to call it quits.
First time visit .. Let's just say it was terrific ... No indoor pool was a bummer and not to many eating places but it's only 3 easy driving hours from southern NM ... Alot left to do so we will get back to the area-- nice summer trip to cool awesum area
More history than your mind can take
..need a week-- plus Santa fe is only 40 miles
The facilities and staff were great. Breakfast was very good. Good variety of good, it was hot and fresh. We had cookies when we arrived. Facilities were very nice. The fitness area was very nice. Rooms were very clean and up to date.
We liked that our room came with a small kitchenette; including an extra sink, our own coffee maker, and a small fridge. We liked that there was information about the technology used by the hotel that was invented in Los Alamos.
This is a very clean hitel. The reception people Dini and Angel were excellent.the breakfast was also good.the hotel is well situated with a co-op grocery close to the hotel. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
I would have rated the hotel as 7/10 but the support and extreme help received from conciergie made me move up. Thank you, I do not know your name but you have been friendly helpful well beyond your duties!
