We were very happy that our room has a balcony for us to go out and watch the solar eclipse. We really enjoyed dinner on the evening of April 8. Our server took excellent care of us. We enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar especially the entertainment. I used to go on vacation there as a child 50 years ago, and it was nice to see that not much has changed. Brought back many wonderful memories. Navy would be proud.

Our second time staying here! Monica (?) helped make sure I got the correct room! Loved the spiral staircase to the room... Also hated the spiral staircase to the room! Looks great, but need to be careful using it, especially in the dark.

We ate at 2 local establishments, 1 of them was a brewery, the beer was very good, but the food was meh.... and the service was not very good. The other place was a barbecue place, the service was not good at all, the food we got was heavy on pepper and little to no seasoning. The town is nice, very good location if you're into riding quads or side by sides, close to Mount Washington and hiking trails. Gorham is conveniently located for hiking the Northern Presidential peaks including Mount Washington . It is a super friendly town and accommodating of ATVs, UTDs, motorcycles and families. The restaurants are casual and the food is good. Try Gorham's House of Pizza, Exile Burrito (in Berlin) and J's Corner Restaurant. I've been using Gorham as my basecamp for hiking for almost 30 years. This year I discovered the the Pine Mountain Trail. Its accessible from the center of town and offers amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks.

My stop was a quick overnight so as to get an early start on the slopes. I was in the room for about 9 1/2 hours. It was serviceable. Nothing to write home about, but the room was warm, and for a solo skier, it did what I needed it to do. I didn't "do" Gorham. In and out.

Gorham has been hit hard with Covid loss of tourism so there...
Gorham has been hit hard with Covid loss of tourism so there are very few services available. Couple of good restaurants and that’s about it. Walmart up in Berlin. The area seems to be dominated by ATV folk, not white mountain hikers or skiers. Its a long way to Pinkham Notch
