I loved the location, the indoor pool and gym center and the breakfast was amazing. I loved the kitchen in our room and dishes/pans/ silverware/cups already there with a dishwasher and a two burner stove full fridge. We were able to cook and not eat out which we love to do and it’s saves. The room was clean and the property. All these features at the property were amazing when traveling with kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great staff, especially staff member Trina!

Who you see can be a profound influence upon your opinion of a town. Somehow, my experiences with strangers in Elko have been amazingly positive. While never living there, I've made about 3 dozen trips there; most of them to take seniors to dental or eye care. Whether it was locals or employees at healthcare, casino restaurants ( e.g. Gold Dust West ), or other vendors ( pizza, groceries [ e.g., Smith's ] ), Elko has been a friendly place for me. The mountains are gorgeous & deer wander through the town. The senior center is profoundly & positively involved. If you take the time to explore, they have streets with really interesting well-kept homes; a wide range of architecture ( many appear to be antebellum ). And the town itself has some charmingly "folksy" shops along with the big box stores. Elko is an appealing town.

I was in town on business for one night only so what I did see of Elko was a nice town with a good choice of restaurants and Casinos if that's your thing, traffic was not congested so it was easy to get around. I have to return later in the month so I will allow myself some time to check out the town a little better.

Not my type of town, casinos were smaller than Wendover which had a better vibe overall, but nearby Ruby mountains were amazing. I could definitely come back on a nicer warmer summer day just to go to those mountains, I could only spend a night in the town or just skip it and head straight to camping.

It's a good destination from Salt Lake city with tourist attractions and places to eat. I reviewed this on Google as well and helped some prople out there as well. If you don't want to go all the way to Reno in a day this is a great stop.

Friendly small Western town with long list of short-visit attractions. Limited variety of restaurant options outside of casino-based or fast-food chains. Pizza Barn has good quality variety at reasonable cost with interesting old school video games and other kid-friendly stuff.

Odeh’s Mediterranean Restaurant has great food!
Odeh’s Mediterranean Restaurant has great food! Just be sure if you’re ordering by phone you don’t call Odeh’s Mediterranean *Kitchen*—which is on the east coast ;-)
Love BJ Bull’s Cornish Pasties and Pies! Always worth a stop. Try the Beef and Mushroom Pasty.
Northeastern Nevada Museum is a fun stop, and close to a very nice park as well.
California Trail Historic Interpretive Center is also fascinating.
We arrived really late due to it being a last minite booking, as soon as we arrived the staff were super warm and welcoming. The manager suggested us places to eat late at night and gave us tips on our travels for the next day. Rooms were super clean and the bed was super comfortable. Shower was super powerful and there was a big TV in our rooms. It was such good value for money, most definitely would stay here again. Probably the best service and value for money hotel we have stayed in so far during our travels.
Wifi wasn’t strong enough for my remote work had to use my hotspot. Front desk said it is unfortunately the internet provider in this area.
Breakfast is good but it’s a restaurant so be sure you bring some cash to tip. Also read the coupon carefully drinks aren’t included! Except coffee.
Elko is a quant town to pass through. We enjoyed the nice Italian dinner and and Oge deli within walking distance.
Front desk was nice but since I mainly use hotels to do work the internet was a bummer.
You can tell the motel is a little older, but it was very clean. The location was right downtown within walking distance to several nice restaurants. We did not try the hotel complimentary breakfast, but explored several other little breakfast places right across the street! Overall we had a nice stay. The staff was extremely nice.
The price was reasonable; it was mainly just a stopover on my road trip to Utah from California. I found accommodations suited my needs. Hotel was clean, staff quite friendly and helpful, and room had basic essentials. Enjoyed next day strolling Elko downtown viewing the many murals on their buildings there.
The hotel was clean. The restaurant had good food although we went down stairs 3 times to get our order correct. Left some of our food out.
The breakfast was horrible. No stirrers,no milk,no coffee. Not comfortable with cleanliness with covid.
In our room the next morning no sugar or sweetener.
The breakfast burritos were a great addition to the regular continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and the location was easy to find. I would recommend the Shutter's Hotel if you are traveling through Elko. Check out the Star Hotel for an excellent basque dinner.
The motel was basic, a bit older, but clean and comfortable. We were able to bring our dog for a reasonable fee. It was very quiet there, although we seemed to be right downtown. Which made for interesting walking around. The people were very friendly in Elko.
The staff is incredibly responsive. I arrived late but I was met with the kindest attitude. Given that this is a little hotel with basically a very reduced staff (probably husband and wife only) I was very thankful that they were friendly and available.
This was the cheapest hotel on Booking in Elko, but the reception was friendly, it was very clean and the beds were super comfy. If you're looking for a cheap, but clean and comfortable stay on your pass through Nevada, this is an excellent choice.
I liked the location. It was close to the freeway and attraction areas near Elko. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast included was actually pretty good, lots of food options, hot breakfast, organized and clean.
The reception desk was very professional and welcoming. As the pool was under renovation, they made arrangements for me to swim in the pool across the road under the same ownership. That hotel also had a 24-hour Starbucks.
The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly - only saw them at check in. Decent value. There are some restaurants nearby - I thought the Mediterranean place was good.
Electric charging stations were a bonus that made us choose the hotel. Didn’t need the kitchen, but a nice perk to have full-size fridge and ability to cook.
