The hotel was clean and lived up to our expectations. Our room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There’s complimentary breakfast, guest computer, swimming pool, snacks for purchase, etc. The hotel is right next to MSU Mankato along with nearby places to eat and shop. The drive to Walmart, Target, and the mall is convenient. Overall, if we find ourselves in Mankato, MN again, we’ll definitely stay at this hotel again.

Breakfast was very good. This was a one time stay as we were attending our granddaughter's college graduation, but we have been very happy with other Country Inn locations, so looked to do that while in Mankato.
This Mankato hotel is offers spacious accommodations with a fully equipped kitchenette. Each suite at the River Hills Hotel- Mankato features a seating area with a sofa bed and a dining area.
The rooms are overpriced for what you get. Location is the key to $. Stay at a less expensive nice place and Uber. Our family came for the weekend expecting to use the pool area in between sports events. The pool was out of order. We were told we would get a discounted rate and that didn’t happen. The water pressure in the shower was a trickle, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner in the shower were empty and the water temperature was luke warm.

Be careful booking this place.
Be careful booking this place. They will put credit holds on your cards that cause more issues than you will want.
The Air conditioning in hallways, elevator, and the wedding areas were so hot, multiple guest issues.... Rooms are poorly cleaned, fans in rooms didn't work, carpet stand and burns. Wallpaper by elevator all torn up.
No ice machines working on any floor.
The worst place to stay. Breakfast was the minimum barely edible, rooms UNCEAN, outdated and smelt...
Broken entry tiles and a very rude staff...
They charged us a deposit of 20$, then another for 155.89 and then again the next day. Another 20$, 166., And another 154. All after our room was fully paid for at check in.....

Shouldn't have the name Hilton on it.
Shouldn't have the name Hilton on it. No water softener, bed uncomfortable bed, one elevator not working wait times too long. The price was same as downtown Nashville and Mankato is absolute dump. Parking is terrible guests are second to city trucks that take up all the prime spots at hotel entrance.

Hadn't been back to Mankato since Late 1996.
Hadn't been back to Mankato since Late 1996. Woulda loved to have stayed another night but we had to get back home. True where we lived I'd rather forget. But Mankato proper I loved. And unlike some cities I can still recognize it :) I tend to love MN . Duluth is okay New Ulm, Lewiston (small) much of southern MN East to West..

We took in the Buddy Holly show at the Kato Ballroom.
We took in the Buddy Holly show at the Kato Ballroom. It was a wonderful event. I recommend it. The food was "ok" but the performance was exceptional and for the ticket price of $40 per person...we felt it was a great value for an evening of entertainment.

Mankato is mid-way between our home town and the Twin Cities - easy location for an overnight stay. We enjoy shopping opportunities for food and clothing. Minneopa Falls just outside of Mankato is a good place to take a walk and the drive-through nature center nearby (where bison roam freely) is very enjoyable.
I was super hesitant to book a motel 6 stay as they have such a bad reputation, but the reviews made me take a chance on this hotel and I am glad I did. It was a brand new, clean building. Very modern, which I liked. Rooms were big, spacious and clean even though very basic— no shampoo, conditioners or soaps though which was surprising. But it was a great value and I wish I had booked another night honestly. Great staff too.
The room was very clean and an excellent size. The furnishings in the room were tasteful and the bed was comfortable. The coffee at breakfast was good quality - better than the rubbish machine coffee we've had to endure in the other hotels during this trip.
Clean, modern hotel with comfortable and spacious rooms. Friendly, efficient check in. Didn't know a lot about Mankato, but it turned out to be a large, interesting town with good walks and restaurants.
The location was wonderful. It's near a ton of stuff and its an adorable little place. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay and are already planning another trip to Mankato so we can stay again.
Everything was very nice, the only thing would be the price, but I guess it was comparable to other hotels in the area. It was close to food and stores, would recommend to others.
The staff was prompt and kind. The hotel is being painted and updated and is looking good. It was quiet and I had a room just a few feet from the front door on the main level.
I called AmericInn in a panic because I had checked into a disgusting hotel and needed a new room asap. The receptionist was absolutely stellar and helped ease my mind.
