The Temple Theatre is a must, a great old venue with a lot of character. The Castle Museum/Historical Society of Saginaw County is another beautiful site to see with a lot of history. Tony's Italian Restaurant on Gratiot or State St have exceptional Italian food. Most of the streets are north/south or east/west oriented so not difficult to move about Saginaw. I wish more of the old downtown area was being brought back to life.

We stayed in Saginaw because all reasonably priced accommodations in nearby Frankenmuth were already booked. We were heading there for their Bavarian Fest. Saginaw was a drivable distance option, and we didn’t spend much time there. We did, however take in the Saginaw Castle, which is an historic post office converted into a beautifully executed local history museum. Quite impressive.

This place was a catfish hotel.
This place was a catfish hotel. When arriving I saw local vagrants all around. The neighborhood is sketchy, and the whole hotel was dirty. Room was filthy, bedding was scratchy and smelled horrible. If you like clean spaces, do not go here.

Overcharged me $50 right from the beginning and then staff argued with me saying they couldn’t do anything about it. Wanted to swim but pool was down. Thought they had a hot tub but they did not. Ice machines were also all broke

Hotel was not prepared to feed an influx of guests so on the morning of July 13, food was out at 7:30. We never got to talk to a manager and no compensation was offered. We had to go out and buy breakfast for my 92 yea old mother-in-law. On the 14th there was sufficient and good food for breakfast.
The location is great and plenty of good shopping and restaurants nearby.
Wow! This amazing house and property was so beautifully decorated for the holidays! I appreciate how I was able to walk through and tour whatever parts of the home weren’t booked. The hotel is close to everything in Saginaw and the breakfast was very enjoyable as well. Walking outside around the property was so lovely. What a memorable experience! I hope to come back again soon.
They made 3 groups of families wait in the lobby before they would check us in, it was 2:30 pm. It was unnecessary because there were four cars in the parking lot. The hotel wasn’t busy at all. Also, they need to put better lights in the hallways, it’s very dim and almost dark. I don’t think that’s safe. Not to mention, the elevator was janky…
I love the staff cindy that works there I stay most weekends as a only home weekend truck driver I stay in hotels to save money and when there's a problem they fix it fast have no problem changing rooms for you if you need them to and do a good job cleaning and maintaining the rooms..
All round 5-stars. We had a smooth check-in experience. Room and shared facilities were clean. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. The area is safe and close to a bunch of restaurants. And the staff were very friendly and helpful.
my room was clean but very dark even with all the lights on. The location was good, the staff was friendly. I felt safe I was staying alone. The shower was good but tub very slippery no non skid strips in tub.
Location was great - right beside Macy's. Room was a good size and I liked the toilet separate from the shower. Breakfast was good and was different from Friday to Saturday, so that added variety.
I’ve stayed there before on a bus shopping trip so it was familiar and I knew what we were getting. They told me the hotel is going to be renovated. Location is great
We have stayed here a number of times over the years as we have a Daughter that lives in Saginaw. Have always found it to be comfortable and perfect for our needs.
We got great help from Ty Robinson at the front desk, when something did not go right with our reservation via booking.com.
The room was nice and clean, good bed.
