We very much enjoyed the location of this property to family in Roscommon. We were given a key code to enter the property which worked well except the door was somewhat stuck so had to push hard. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had containers in the tub with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. There were extra towels, room spray, a small flashlight, fire extinguisher, hair dryer, and first aid kit under the bathroom sink. We will stay again on our next trip to Roscommon!

We came up to Grayling for the full moon snowshoe hike at Hartwick Pines. That was very nice even though it was cloudy and the moon only peeked out now and then.
Grayling is a nice town. There's a lot to do, you just need to know where to go.

We were only there overnight.
We were only there overnight. Not much to do in the part of the city we were in. Difficulty in finding a restaurant there. We were there Wed. evening. Ate at a Chinese-Thai place . Had great food and great jasmine tea. Then went back to motel.

The staff did not know about the area to help out with how late any restaurants were open. When I got there the staff took 2 people to check us in and were rude about where I came from. They acted the whole time like they didn't like their jobs and didn't want to be in their jobs.

Nice little town with a first rate art gallery, nice places to eat, and some local breweries. Loved the AuSable and Manistee Rivers to kayak on! Crystal clear waters and a nice even flow without whitewater. Nice state parks too and paved bike trails. Centrally located to many other nice places too like Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Charlevoix, Mackinaw.....all within a reasonable driving distance.

Too much traffic (Memorial Day weekend) for us.
Too much traffic (Memorial Day weekend) for us. Pizza from the Bear's Den was excellent and reasonably priced. The corned beef sandwich at Spike's Keg O Nails was terrible, but the fried green beans were good. Grayling is a nice place to visit overall. Plenty to do and see year 'round.
the room was down graded by the hotel without my permission. Staff was very rude and unwilling to help me with the issues at hand. I am a handy capped senior. I requested a ground floor room because it was very difficult to traverse the stairs. there’s no elevator available. when I explained to the acting manager she simply told me I booked with a third party vendor and just deal with it, if she could upgrade my room to a ground floor for an up charge of $175.00 per night. Un-exceptable at best.
we were camping during the weekend but after a massive rainstorm we discovered all our gear was soaked- friends recommended this motel and we were very impressed with its cleanliness. Nothing fancy but everything you need from a hotel. we only stayed one night and didn’t even get to sleep in because we had early morning activities to get too. But if circumstances we different I could see my family and I staying here for a weekend getaway or vacation
The man checking us in was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and good sized. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was hot. We were able to unwind and relax after a long day to prepare for another long day of activities. The kids wanted to stay in the warm and comfortable beds and spend another night. This will be our go to if we need to spend another night in Grayling and we will recommend the location to others!
Excellent location for spending days at Higgins Lake and doing day trips to Grayling/Mio. Breakfast offers enough variety - many healthier options. Loved that they accommodated our request for a first floor room; being able to look out on the woods and open the windows and enjoy the fresh air in warm weather is great! Staff was very friendly.
The place was clean. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was good as well with hot food and some healthy choices. Grayling is a nice little community. The locals treated us outsiders well. Hartwick Pines state park is close by featuring old growth white Pines and Hemlock.
Woodland Lodge is comfortable, clean and close enough to town to be convenient yet, outside of the suburbs. I love the trees, campground atmosphere and the kitchenette in the room. The owners have been accommodating and helpful both times I have stayed there.
Room- huge, quiet and comfortable bed!! Loved the ability to set room temp as well!! The extras in the room like furniture made it feel more homey! I’m still excited at the size of the room and hope other hotels catch on. 🤗 Breakfast- n/a. Pool- n/a.
This Hotel was very clean and the room was spacious. It was nice to have a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room as well. The beds were comfortable. It was in a good location for us as we were visiting cross country ski areas.
The front desk staff were super welcoming!
Close to Yogi Bear Campground. Had fun with the grandkids there and then returned to a comfortable bed...my kind of "camping."
The hotel was clean, well decorated and the staff was especially helpful. The bed was very comfortable and I want to know where you get those little square pillows
