My son lives here. It’s a beautiful community with historic homes, lovely parks, river, kids riding bikes, everyone is friendly. It’s almost Mayberry. So much to see and do. Great restaurants, and not the same old chains. Small business is honorable and thriving.

Salida is a cute town full of historical elements.
Salida is a cute town full of historical elements. It is a great place to lay back and have a peaceful and relaxing vacation. It is small but big enough to get away from the city life. There is much to do here, as it is the heart of the rockies! Salida is a great place to go.

Salida is a great mountain town that is dog and skater friendly and has a thriving art scene and modern downtown district. Also, located near so many great mountain attractions: Monarch Pass, Mount Princeton Hot Springs, golf, numerous hikes and biking trails, and of course the best, Great Sand Dunes! I would recommend a stay here to anyone! (Try to stay a week because a long weekend just isn't enough.)

Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room.
Its a quaint, small Hotel with a nice room. We were travelling with our dog and that was accepted, maybe for that we got a larger room at the side which was prefect. They had a to go breakfast and Coffee and Juice to get you out the door in the morning. We enjoyed our stay, we went skiing for 3 days and it was the perfect place. Walking Distance to some restaurants, a park/playground. My daughter left her beloved stuffed animal and they texted us about it and send it back to us, which was so wonderful!

Salida is a delightful town.
Salida is a delightful town.
We loved Currents Restaurant and Riveting Experience Jewelry - we got to design and make our own jewelry pieces... great experience for a group.
Love the walk around the river and delightful shops downtown.
The hotel was located right at the base of the Colorado Collegiate Range of mountains. There is a local hill with biking and hiking trails just down the street. White-water rafting and many city activities are available within minutes. The amenities inside the room made it feel more like staying at a family member's house. For example, the coffee provided was an actual container of grounds from a local coffee shop. The coffee cups themselves were small, decorative ceramic cups.
Super cute house on a park in Salida frequented by deer! Renovated, beautifully appointed, equipped with modern conveniences. Loved the hospitality of top notch coffee service, either French Press or coffeemaker, also salt, pepper, and oil, although there was no time on this visit for cooking. Gracious and responsive host who offers "take a book" from her bookshelves. She has thought of everything.
The whole design concept was great. The retro feel worked, and the little red mini fridge was cute as a button. The bed was great, there was a hairdryer, and toiletries, and the shower was wonderful. towels were plush. Nice place. The check in gal sent me to a great place for dinner and I really loved that recommendation.
I will stay here again when I return to Salida!
We had the smallest room but at a very reasonable price and it was perfectly comfortable, clean and well laid out and not lacking for any of the usual amenities. Miranda checked us in and she was friendly and helpful. Also it’s within just a few minutes easy walking distance from historic Salida. Would definitely stay here again!
Very nice rooms. Comfortable, clean and decently sized.
Staff were friendly and professional.
Dog friendly.
Hotel grounds are well maintained, with a nice area for my service animal to potty.
Hotel situated in good area with a lot of activities and restaurants within walking distance.
Highly recommend.
We had a remodeled room that was exceptionally clean with a new door locking system. It was very user friendly and the entire property was very well kept and clean. Breakfast was standard motel fare. The historic area of Salida down near the river is quite charming and we very much enjoyed our stay.
Decent price compared to other hotels in the area on the weekend. Large room, with desk, chair, microwave, fridge and freezer, chargers on the lamps, and large shower. Coffee and tea in the lobby, as well as in the room. We didn't used them, but the hotel also has a gym, a pool, and laundry machines.
This is a very well maintained and clean older hotel with a lot of country artistic touches. Very basic, but a very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was a standard, serve yourself continental, and was OK. The couple that own/manage it are very friendly and helpful. We would stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised how modern the room and bathroom were. Free wifi is always nice. Bonus that it's pet friendly. Hot breakfast was also good enough. Though we would prefer to be walking distance to town, the drive was not bad.
The hotel has been completely redone, and the rooms are very nice. We had a room in the back, and it was very quiet and well furnished. The staff are great, and the room is very clean.
The hotel owners were awesome. They served the most delicious coffee I have ever had during a hotel breakfast. I'd go back just for the coffee. I loved the cozy feel.
